I don't use opinion openers a whole lot myself, but from what I understand of the theory behind them, you need to phrase it so that you don't really give her a choice. Instead of: "Can I get your opinion on something?" Use: "Let me get your opinion on something." or "I want to get an opinion on something." Don't ask a yes or no question, because she has the option of saying no. Typically, you also want to open it in a rhetorical manner. You open with the "Let me get your opinion" and then go into the opener before she has a chance to rebuke you. |

Hey man, It has been a while since I used canned openers - I now use a more natural type of game, but in answer to your decent question - the thing you need to do is to root the opener and add in a false time constraint. For example, if you were to use the jealous girlfriend opener, you could mention that you are asking because you just got a phone call from your brother about it or "we were trying to give my friend over there advice." Or, say you do the spells routine, you could say it's about "my friend Will, who isn't out with us tonight because he's with this girl." |

i feel openers should be purely situational. opinion openers tend to be over played and never fit the moment. |
