i just got off track practise today and there was this girl in my grade i hardly knew so i though why the hell not get a little bit of practise? she was watching the football players (her bro is one). i opend then got a laugh in it felt very smooth. but for some reason i couldnt get her to make any eye contact with me at all not evan a glance im not ugly either! what caould be the reasons for this or wht could i have done? so anyways the convo ended because i didnt feel it could go far with no eye contact. i did however come from a grp of guys that were 5 yrds away but its not like they all came over and were n the convo i made sure we were in 2 seperate grps. do you think the guys i came from and were still fairly close intimidated her? my first opening and engaging in convo since i started reading this site!! woot |

What felt smooth for you may not have been smooth for her. Reminds me of an episode of Becker where his date went home with a "headache" while he thought the date went great. Can you give some more details? Maybe how you approached her and what was said during the conversation? |

You mentioned the word "grade". I'm assuming she's lets say 16. She's still young, her confidence is probably not that high. It's hard for a girl to look a dude in the eyes. That takes confidence or a good comfort level. Don't give women the benefit of the doubt, they're human too. |

Maybe there girl is just super shy and quiet. Some people feel awkward with eye contact. |
