i met a prospect on plenty of fish. Only got in 2 messages, she seemed very interested in me. After my last message she has'nt message me since. The only thing different was the last message i sent her was a little longer, however me reading it i dont see any desperation, i'm not even feeling desperate so what could've turned her off? |

here is how it went.... ME----- You know i'm looking for people from all cultures as well, on one side i have a east indian who is ismaili so technically he is north african i suppose, and then i have an iranian, after that a south african, and somewhere in the city a british person. After that a few canadian friends sprinkled here and there. Oh wait its not over though, there is taiwanese, chinese, and japanese friends i would talk to on regular basis as well. Oh of course i can forget the brazilians, and the many europeans i seem to attract for some odd reason. So it seems i am fortunate enough to have met a great deal of friends from across the world, I go to surrey for work from time to time and unfortunately i have yet to find some sort of affinity with actual east indians, I love their culture i thorougly enjoy the musical dances, so why is that? HER ----- Well i am Ismili as well, but my dads from Uganda, Africa and my mom's from India so i got a little Indian cutlture in there (actually mroe dominant) since i do live in Surrey. I don't know why do you love dances? Maybe cause they are soo exageratd haha and non-realistical lol. They are the closet thing to a Adult Disney movie hahaha Second interaction ------------------------------- ME---- As for me liking the dances of india, hey i like to dance plain and simple, even though the dances of bollywood may be goofy its still a nice goofy dance to do. I usually do basic ballroom salsa dancing, other then that i dance like everyone else. Well you know i didnt know you were african, from the pictures i mistakingly assumed you as full blooded east indian. Its great that you are also ismaili, my friends culture is very rich i enjoy his values, everywhere i go with him we always run into somebody who is ismaili, the community here is big, also because of him i was able to meet ppl of other faiths as well, one person in particular is a bahai, they are one of the most worldly and knowledgeable people i met. I did not introduce myself early, name is ????????. Pleasure to meet you. HER------- First off, I have to say that you are the most articulated persons to message me on POF. Haha I`v always wanted to try Salsa dancing!! And i totally dance like everybody as well! So where are you from, what's your stroy? And why do you like to meet so many people from different cultures? As for myself, I'm ???????. Nice to meet you to too. ME----- hey Rukshana, thats a nice name never heard of it before. As for me, i was born in brazil in one of the largest cities in the world, sao paulo city. This place is so big i didnt see the ocean until i was 4. I came to canada few years later when i was 7 so i'm mostly canadianized however my roots and values are stictly brazilian. Growing up there i was used to seeing all ethnic groups, but attributed them as being solely from brazil and nowhere else. The same thought carried over with me for a time when i moved to canada. It wasn't until i came to canada that i began to realize that a chinese, or african, and others were from different parts of the world. I guess you could say i became fascinated with how people behaved in their environment in contrast to my own. To when you talk about cultures your also talking about the people, you want to understand that to see how you can better yourself from it, these are things i look for. You know if you here me speak i tend to say these big words and such but thats because when we immigrated here the only channel on tv back in the day had lots of reruns on local spelling bee competitions. I guess it stuck good in my head. Its great that you enjoy salsa dances, everynow and then i attend classes over in surrey on sundays. Now its your turn, were you born here or you also migrated from elsewhere? |
