I figured this thread could help everyone including myself With all this information flying around everywhere, how do you guys keep track of it all? What I do is just remember the stuff that sticks and end up forgetting the rest, which in turn makes me go back and read everything again. Tips?!?!?!?!? |

Read lots and forget most of it, then what has stuck is usually the useful and good stuff. |

mnemonics. I would recommend creating a mnemonic link (perhaps an acronym or visualized image) linking your routines together. Only link the premise/title/outline and do not try to remember anything word for word. Or you could adapt natural game without routines... |

- Write it down. - Highlight it if it's in a book. When you write something down your brain has to process it again and again because you have to think it while you write it, as well as think it while you decide it's good enough to write and usually you think it multiple times while writing it. So usually you end up thinking it at least 3 times, rather than just 1. Also, writing it down creates physical anchors to connect the concepts to, such as visual and kinesthetic anchors. When you highlight something, you read it once, realise it was good and read it again to make sure you want to highlight it. Then you highlight it, during which you are reading it again, even if only subconsciouly. Afterwards you will usually read it again. That means when highlighting something you read it a minimum of 4 times and again establish those anchors so that when you have to recall the information you have a much clearer memory of reading it and can recall the knowledge more clearly as well. |
