I was dating this girl for the last couple of months and it has really been up and down. When I got together with her initially I wasnt really looking to get into anything serious but sometimes that just happens when you find someone you like. We struggled back and forth at first trying to establish ourselves in the relationship and things were pretty good. However, she eventually got distant and pulled away. When I approached her about this she said that she couldnt really give any more. We backed off after that and I think that calmed things down a bit. Well she did the same thing again. She told me she couldnt think about anyone but herself right now and couldnt be in a relationship. Well at this point she had forced my hand and I told her it was over. So now here we are a few weeks later. We just spoke online recently for the first time since the split. We had some light chat and then the 'how are you doing?' stuff started. I told her I thought that it was best that things were like this right now b/c it just wasnt working. She wants to get together sometime soon. Should I freeze her out for awhile? Suggestions |

I'd go for the "Friends with benefits" thing... Hooking up for lunch and a quickie is ok, as long as you make it clear that you won't be getting serious... It's nice to have a "Friend with benefits". I don't have anything like this right now, but I have in the past, and it's handy sometimes... For you AND her. Just watch the jealosy... That can ruin it. |

I would freeze her out, act uninterested. If she makes an effort to be with you, warm up just enough to reward her, but go back into freeze mode again. In other words, don't let her know where she stands with you, keep her in the dark, keep her guessing. Being mysterious is a great way to keep a girl baited. |
