Post subject:  Shortness? <_<

So I'm like only 5.4ft. I've been doing a lot of bodybuilding types of activities during the summer and earlier in this past term (second year of college) and I'm around 150 lb up from 125 last spring. Do I need to "compensate" a lot here? I'd hate to seem like the Napoleon complex dude vying for attn. and such. I'm going to continue with weight training and interval training in the spring and since I'm 19 and my dad kept going till he was 26 or 27 I still have a few years I think. This has gotten in the way of a lot of progress for me--or so I feel. What do you all think? :?: Any  ?

Hi, i think the whole height thing is kinda overated- if you talk to girls a big thing about being with a tall guy is that they feel safe (no really) the fact that you are ripped (or/and are getting ripped) that takes alot of the shortness factor out of it- if girls feel safe around you (that really does sound lame doesn't it) it shouldnt matter how tall you are.

Thanks RyantheRhino for your response. It makes a lot of sense, although I'm not to the point yet where I can actually see it clearly. I remember near the end of last summer after that both men and women spoke across the table or even up to me sometimes because of the bulk, but this has not been totally effective (or I haven't yet picked up on its effectiveness in terms of more sexually oriented interactions--though these have been few) as of yet.
Another question now.
What kind of build is most widely regarded highly, ectomorphic with obvious strength and tone or more mesomorphic with a bit more strength but not as much tone? This has been a key question for me because I'm trying to calibrate for the world at large rather than just for select groups and I tend to be more ectomorphic although with the gains I've made I can easily see myself adding another 20-30lbs and then cutting down to around 5-6% body fat. Is there any broad generalization? Western vs. Eastern vs. Middle-Eastern vs. Eastern European vs. Afro-Diasporan vs. Latin perspectives? All answers welcomed and honored.

Your height and weight aren't anywhere near as important as you're making them out to be. In fact, due to Sean Stephenson being able to pull, I propose that height and weight are absolutely irrelevant.

Me, I'm 5'11. I met Jlaix and Ciaran back in April, and they're both shorter than me. I estimated Jlaix at 5'7", although I think he might be shorter than that.

Jlaix and Ciaran have ridiculously good game.

I'm also 190 lbs now. I lost thirty-five pounds over the last six months. I've still got a belly and a bit of a double chin. But take a look at Johnny Soporno (no offense to the guy whatsoever): I'm not going to guess, but I'd put him over two hundred pounds, and not of muscle. Same goes for David X.

Johnny Soporno and David X have ridiculously good game.

If you want to get healthier, do it for you. It'll make you feel better and therefore possibly help your state, and maybe you'll feel more confident because of it. but it won't make a difference to the girls' attraction once you're actually in set.

Thanks for the advice. It makes sense intellectually but I think I'll just have to internalize it over a bit of time. Much appreciated Stormy!

I am 6' 6" and it doesn't make much difference. I'm a skinny bean pole compared to most guys so as RyantheRhino said, it's all about feeling safe (man it really does sound lame). My height makes up for my lack of muscle and your case will simply be the opposite. Of course, now I've started weight training because I'm sick of resembling a bamboo stick.

lol now i get your username

i'm like 5'5'' or 5'6'' or somewhere around there i think. i stopped caring a long time ago. oh and im not buff or anything - im actually kinda skinny.

it does limit my options, though. im actually not all that attracted to really tall girls. i prefer girls around my height or shorter :P

but...yeah you could say i "compensated" by BEING AWESOME.

...and some people actually get the perception that i'm taller than i actually am because of the confidence i'm used to projecting. kinda weird.

Haha! That's actually not what I was referring to, I was referring to personal development in general. Thanks for your responses everyone!

Don't get too jacked. You don't want to be one of those short roid monkeys with no neck. Some girls will rule you out right away if they're tall. Fuck 'em.

I'm closer to 260, actually - and the only muscle-groups that REALLY get a work out are my tongue and my pubo-coccygeal muscle. ;)

dude your still taller then like 80% of girls.
im 5'8'' but seem taller untill you get close to me. my waist is alittle south of 30inches and my shoulders are north of 50inches i also have somewhat longer legs. leanness works better then height but neither really matter after the first 10 sec if your a cool guy.

thats enough (speaking of weight) or even more than enough for that height :)
Now just focus on the "inside" aka inner game

Post subject:  Inner Game >> Physical Attributes: Agreement

Inner game is definitely an issue for me as a noob. I'll post elsewhere about that. Thank you all!
