"That's cool, I like you too."

I personally don't think cocky funny (also known as sarcasm) is the way to go here, cause that sends mixed signals and is basically "punishing her for good behaviour" as some people like to say.

Why go cocky funny when she is doing something right. But if you are sure it is a shit test you can always say:
Awww you sound just like my parole officer/psyciatrist/drug dealer/mother/sex instructor/whatever...

I always quoted Jimmy Carr on this one

"Of course you fucking do." In the most calm way possible.

Always gets a good laugh. However you would need to be a lot more specific with your question. Are you meaning to qualify, neg, tease, etc?

"Who doesn't?" Has always been my reply, but I agree with above comments, if she's just said she likes you, You've basically achieved what you're after.

"I know."
"Naturally."
"...figures."
"...typical."
"Yeah, you told me with your eyes."
"Of course."

I disagree. If you make her laugh it's a reward because it's feeding her good emotions.

Then why not say a funny response? I think people get carried away with the whole idea of being cocky/funny and end up being arrogant.

They sure do lol

A funny response alone CAN act as a reward, but why not build attraction at the same time by balancing cocky into the equation?

Keyword balancing.

I just realised what a crotchety mood I've been in, lol. I'd most likely use a cocky joking comment, I just wanted to present the concept that you don't always have to do that; it is ok to just tell a girl you like her if she says she likes you.

You'll want to read the way she delivers the "I like you" because the context of her delivery can change the meaning of the phrase dramatically.

Your response is also highly dependent on the context of the SITUATION.

Is she legitimately saying she likes you because she's aroused and wants to actively and bluntly push to the next level?

Is she playfully saying she likes you in response to a neg?

Is she being blatantly sarcastic?

Of course, I'm not suggesting that you read into it. I'm suggesting that there are big disparities in the meaning depending on the scenario.

I'll also add that most of the time, "I like you" is legitimate and she's coming out to say it because she wants to directly move things forward. This is a good time to kiss her if you haven't already. In fact, it's a Fedex- shipped invitation to look into her eyes, smile, and pull her into a kiss. If you don't at least escalate the kino in some sort of response, I'd say that you're missing a great opportunity.
