| Post subject: | Is this really legit? |
I've been reading up on all the PUA stuff for a while, Im pretty familiar with most of the stages/"attraction" etc....Ive even watched all the episodes of The Pickup Artist... But just the fact that so many of the big "pickup artists" use their talents to 'help' people with the bootcamps that scream at the top of their lungs "scam" makes me question the legitimacy of all this PUA stuff....Don't get me wrong, I think its all pretty interesting, and I like watching the vh1 show, but I've done a lot of investigation into various scams (weight loss, dating, etc) and this really does have every element. An inflated cost and a desperate audience are the two biggies. $3000 for a 2-3 day bootcamp? That alone...$100 to watch 3 hours of a mystery seminar? $500 for some books and cd-roms? The audience is a very desperate one, and these people know this, meaning its easy money and easy exploitation. Plus from a psych perspective, Mystery actually shows many traits of an antisocial personality disorder, which would leave him the "charm" over women from birth, not necessarily an art he perfected. This isn't a rant, I really do just want real answers, is there a legit PUA community? Are there legit PUA Leaders that aren't in it for money in any way? |

Go in the field with this information and see what happens. Or are you so afraid of rejection you can't try it for yourself? |

Hi there First most reality shows are going to have some fake element, to make it profitable to the promoters by drawing in the viewers, but still have techniques etc anyone can use to improve themselves. Why have you joined this forum? maybe to improve yourself, if you are intelligent to see the scams at work you can avoid being their payday. Have you paid loads of money here yet? probably not but you are FREE to post and read lots of others posts, if you like it use it if you dont ignore it. I see you have been a member of this forum for awhile now? I also have to assume from that fact you must have read, like me, alot of these posts BUT maybe not seen the wealth of knowledge from even AFCs being available to inspire and educate. Now obviously like any community you are going to get those who want validation for their qualities and boast it up, even when its not real. Others want the easy life and get others to work for them like any frat on campus, some make money from it, others DHV by using others. Like any community you are going to have an element of new people, who dont know what to do, and those who want to genuinely help and be teachers/friends. Anyone can give advice and if the recipeint wants he can take it and see if it works for him/her. I will if I feel my experience, limited as anyones is, gives me some insight voice my thoughts. I dont expect money (unemployed so J1f |
