Hi guys I registered to this site 1 week before and started my journey last weekend. First thing I tried to apply was "3 second rule". I approached a girl in shopping center and started to talk only to find out her boyfriend popping up from some where suddenly. Now this 3 second rule sounds really good but don't you guys think that one should wait and make sure that she is alone before approaching. But then again this will destroy 3 second rule.... or is this rule only for club where it is much easier to spot single girl???... help please........ |

if you are confidant enough that you can wait and know that you will approach her at some point, sure, thats fine i would say.. if your not, stick with the three second rule..so she has a boyfriend, your still allowed to talk to her.. |

Yeah, the 3 second rule in general is very good! I should really do it more often (especially after my disaster at the train station yesterday  ).Anyway; Like Soup said, so what if she has a boyfriend you can still talk to her...you don't want to come across as if your running away though if the guy comes up, stay for a few more seconds and politly exit, saying something like "it was nice meeting you".

I never used it. It is there to keep you from not approaching due to AA. You can break it. If you are having a good time, and not look like a lone creepy guy, why care? It's better to prepare and practise.. than to follow the 3s-rule and lose. |

I find approaching a single girl harder than opening a group (unless at a club or mall) The 3 second rule isn't absolute, it's just that its better to feel AA for 3 seconds than for 10 mins and then end up overthinking or pussying out. I'm new just like you, and man have I pussied out, then regretted it later. |

3 second rule is not really a rule. its a guideline. do what you have to do as long as u dont come off creepy. u should try to open within seconds of spotting the target. and if ur openings are good, then it shouldnt matter if she has a dude with her. |
