I fucked up and not in a good way. Read through the whole post. I finally got a girl to go out with me. She has a great sense of humour. At the end of the date, my friend (who's also a PUA), asked me how it went. I quickly texted a reply: Lark: "I didn't DHV enough. Nothing's going to happen." Reply: What? Lark: I can't DHV if there's no one to DHV to. Reply: What's DHV? Lark: DHV = Demonstration of Higher Value. Reply: I'm confused. But okay. Lark: What do you mean? Reply: I'm confused about DHV. Lark: Just ignore that. Someone's trying to explain this to me and I don't get it. Can you see where I messed up? Instead of texting my friend, I started texting the girl who was at the top of my "Recent Texts" page. It was the girl that I was with. I realized at her last text to me that my friend and the girl have very similar names. This is where it gets complicated: 1. She works with me. 2. She can google DHV. 3. If she finds out, I have no idea what to say. 4. If she finds out, I might have to quit my job. I can honestly say that I don't want to get into her pants. I wanted it to be a long-term relationship, but right now I just don't want to have to quit my job or have her hate me because I'm a retard. What do I do/say so that she doesn't think that I'm a mental manipulator that wants to have sex with her. Approaches 1. Honesty: Tell her that I got into the community just so I wouldn't mess up with her. 2. Lie: I forwarded you some texts my friend was sending me by accident. You have a very similar name to another friend. 3. LJBF: I think it would be best if we were just friends. Then we can get past the bullshit and talk about actual things. |

You forgot the "Oops! I meant to text someone else and hit you instead." and that's all you say option. If she asks more about it or for some reason brings up the fact that she looked up DHV (which she may not even do) then you say "Oh yeah, he asked me how things went and he's into the whole pickup thing so I was joking around with him." Done. Simple. Even if she doesn't buy it, you just laugh and smile at her while shaking your head, then move on. What's she gonna do? Keep pressing you because she thinks you're a creep or something? NO! She won't even fucking care man! It's not a big deal! |

yeah I agree with Rye Lee's advice. Don't even bring it up unless she asks. If she does, just play it off good-naturedly. |

If she googles it and asks you about it....talk to her about it. Tell her about DHV, tell her about all the shit you know. I was DHVing this girl by telling her about social dynamics surrounding laughter...pointing out guys at the bar doing most of the laughing vs girls doing most of the laughing...ensued like a 3 hour conversation about C&F and game...she was totally into it and thought it was very cool that I knew so much about it. |

If you quit your job over something that trivial you are seriously retarded. |
