Post subject:  Very Silly Question - My Name

Hey,

This is a question that I am sure 90% of you will find silly; however, it is something that has been bugging me for a while.

My legal name is Robert, but I have a difficult time deciding which name I prefer to go by, and quite honestly I don't like any of them.

Robert - Sounds too formal.

Bob - Sounds too old/boring.

Bobby - Sounds too childish.

I get called all three names frequently, by different groups of people, and now I am kind of stuck as to which name I should be sticking to. I really don't like all three, and it becomes an issue when I introduce myself. I find myself pausing before the introduction, and choosing in my head which name I should tell this person. Then it gets confusing when people who call me by different names meet each other...

Silly question I know, but which of the three names do you guys think is the best?

use robert, thers nothing wrong with it... its just the lack of inner game makes you think that you are not good enough, think about it, years later, everyone would know robert... you don't really need to have name like brat pitt, seriously if a fat guy have a name aclled brat pitt, i don't thing he would be able to use it...

I've got a friend called bobby, and we call him bobster ice. There's nothing wrong with Robert... and let's face it, if your name is the only thing you've got to worry about then you should count yourself lucky.

What about Rob? Most Roberts I know go with that. Besides, it's just that - a name. Mike or Jason aren't exactly names that will make girls spread their legs upon hearing them either, but they they are fine. If you really want to stand out, give it a good Latin flavour with something like Roberto or Robinho :)

dude. this is really a trivial issue.

what's in a name?
letters. thats it.
a person isn't defined by their name, they give meaning to their name.

Personally I prefer Rob, but like has been said already - it's really not a big deal. People will pretty much accept any name you give them and it doesn't matter.
