When I'm with a group of people and the topic of food comes up, I like to tell them about how my friend and I often go to In n' Out and order 2 4x4s each with fries and consume the whole kit n' kaboodle. Or I share other similar anecdotes about myself having a huge appetite. Today I was eating lunch with a group of people who I hadn't previously known, and this one girl seemed to be giving me IOIs but I think they might have stopped right after I shared this story. Is talking about eating lots of food actually a turn off, or am I just being paranoid or doing something different?

Yeah, I'm not sure if gluttony is a good way to impress a girl, unless you're into Star Jones types. However, I find that talking passionately about food is a universal conversation topic with women. Almost all girls are interested in food (either preparing it or just eating out at nice places), so it's a really easy subject upon which to build a connection. It's also a great way to DHV by demonstrating your knowledge and/or passion, especially if you know something about a cuisine they are into. French, Thai, and Italian tend to be the faves, so learning about these can come in really handy. But I digress...

In your case, I'd shift it away from talking about how much you eat (which is probably enough to kill the girl or make her sick just thinking about it), and try to develop rapport about "pigging out". Talk about the amazing feeling of eating the perfect food at the perfect time. For instance, after a night out clubbing, nothing beats the taste of a greasy In 'n Out Burger with fries, and you can eat that all night. Then ask her what her perfect after-clubbing food is or what her favorite staying-in-on-Sunday food is, relate to it, and go from there. When I was back in Toronto, I was trying to game this ice queen who was giving me nothing, until finally we got into a 15-minute chat about where to find the best shawarma in Toronto after midnight. It ended up leading to an insta-date to grab a shawarma, followed by a stinky-ass k-close :)

Rigoberto just said it all.. That's some damn good advice I'd stick to that one.

On the food thing, bringing up the topic of chocolate will always make a conversation...
