Post subject:  the great thing about accents...

k let me start by saying that im english currently living in canada.

the good thing about this is that when i go to a party, i get a lot of interest for my accent alone. I never use it as a crutch but it becomes one with me just talking to new sets.

I get approached and asked if "I have an accent" (of course i have an accent you retarded woman, so does everyone else in the world). I get it a hell of a lot. to be honest it gets real tiring and very annoying, but the best thing i can do is learn how to effectively use it to get the girls approaching me. if they quiz me about it is the attraction already there? can i start to qualify? What responses would you give to a girl asking you if you have an accent?

any advice is welcome :)

Accents are in a way a type of peacocking, even though they are not purposeful. Having something interesting or different about you, whether it be accent, clothing, hair, accessory, it gives women an excuse to approach you. If any girl comes up to you and asks about your accent, take that as an IOI right away. She likes you. You are still going to have to use solid game but having this will help you.

The same thing happens when I go out wearing a goofy hat or a bright pink shirt, women start conversations "is that shirt really pink?" Obviously it is fucking pink, and they don't really care about the color of my shirt. They are talking to me because I look interesting and this is a perfect situational opener for them, so they can still feel like they are being the ones chased. The great thing about accents is that you can spew whatever bullshit you want to about what happened in the motherland and they will believe you. Think up some crazy stories, or exaggerate ones you already have, and use them to charm/amaze/attract girls.

I hate accents at the moment, I have almost an OCD need to rip the piss out of them, I seriously had to hold back the other day when a bouncer told me to move ooot of the way. Really gotta work on that but definitely accents are useful. Think about how many times you have walked down the street and heard a weird accent and had to see who it was and usually ask where they are from.

Why-aye man. Got a fishy for a dishy.
I hope to emigrate to Canada someday, I like the idea of my accent helping me out for once.

I agree with plethora, DHV stories about where you're from, or maybe say some funny stories about how your accent got you into (or even out of) trouble in canada. It's so strange, I'm from californa and when I visited new york last summer, people said I had a "west coast" accent...never even knew there was such a thing LOL. I replied, "you know you love it, the west coast is the best coast!" that got some really good discussions going...

I agree it can get tiresome when you get a lot of people asking about your accent as I sometimes get fed up when people ask about my accent.

I have to say not really. I would more say they are certainly interested or intrigue but not attracted.

Why do you need to qualify? Unless you are talking about making the girl qualify her self?

I have given the following:

"Ja" (German for yes)
"I have German accent"
"Its German"
"You like it?"
"You like?" (I pretend to be a foreigner when I say this)
"Really now?" (Smart ass tone)
"I never notice" (Smart ass tone)
"I have an accent?" (I pretend to say this in a British/Scottish accent)
