| Post subject: | Is this an IOI? |
So in my quest to buy some peacocking accesories, I stumbled upon a great necklace. Everytime I wear it, I get about 3-5 new compliments a night. I usually hang at the same party every thursday, friday, and saturday. (Its college and the apartment is right across the street). Anyhow its kind of lame now cause i have met most of the girls. Back to my point, about 90% of every girl I talk to ask me about the necklace (where i bought it?, etc?, ect?) It really is one of the best accesories i own because i get opened by several girls each week about it. Eventually every single girl asks the same question......."Can I wear it!?" Most of the time I'll say no just cause I don't wanna talk to that individual. I know if i give it to a girl it will be a lock in prop too. But I want to know, do they really like the necklace that much to the point where they want to wear a strangers jewlery or is it an IOI? It is was strange last night cause i let a HB8 I sorta know wear it after talking to her for about 20 minutes and then she left because she got all pissed off at my roomate, like super crazy pissed. I found her later and made a small little joke about how i needed the necklace back cause i couldnt trust her and she like ripped it off and toss it to me and froze me out by walking away and not saying anything. So the second question is did this particular girl like the necklace that much or did she like me and i insulted her? |

i think they just like the necklace that much... it looks cool and they want to wear it. and i think your friend reacted like that because you poked her with a stick while she was on the edge. normally it would've just been a neg but because she's pissed off and emotional it felt like an insult. she'll get over it, she might even apologize for it if she's mature enough. |

Damn. I would say it had more to do with your roommate than with what YOU said. All you did was add water to the grease fire. The girls are definitely digging the necklace. However, lets put it to you this way....They are obviously attracted to you too. They wouldn't go around asking to wear a dude's piece of jewelery if they didn't find him to be at least somewhat attractive. |

i disagree, i've had girls wear some of my shit before who weren't attracted to me at all. there need not be any attraction for a girl to want to ask to wear something that looks cool, only enough comfort. and where do you go if you have comfort before attraction? friendzone. now, it could be argued that if a girl hardly knows you and asks to wear it that it's an attempt to keep you around, in which case i'll agree that that's a pretty strong IOI, but seeing as these are mostly girls who the OP already knew and partied with fairly often, i wouldn't say that that is the case.
