A true PUA can go out clubbing and not drink alcohol. I tried this last night, had a very cheap night but didn't feel that comfortable. Anyway I just drank water but couldn't loosen up. Will take some getting use to I suppose. What do you drink when you're not having alcohol? Can you use these drinks to your advantage when chatting to women? |

I usually drink until I get to the club, this means for your first approaches you are tipsy but you are completely sober after about an hour. Then I just hit the water. I often get opened or can open other people drinking water with "oooooh hitting the hard stuff as well, check us out", usually gets some laughs and 9/10 it is someone who is quite happy to talk to you as they assume you are not some drunken asshole. |

Lol I don't seem to be able to go out without at least getting a half. But getting plastered while gaming really ruins the opportunities you could have. |

As an alcoholic, I know I can't go completely dry if I'm going out, so I'm a fan of disciplined nursing if I'm looking to pick up. Find your "invincible" drink - whatever you can pound back on end (mine's G&T) - and order that. Then just take the occasional sip - remember that for the night it's more like an ornament than a drink. By the end of the night, you'll likely have only put back 3 or 4 and you should be fully sober. G&T is also a good one because if you want to slow down or if you're getting thirsty, you can switch to soda water and nobody can tell. Of course, discipline is the key: like Frank the Tank said "It's so good when it hits your lips" |
