So, my questions are as follows:
1) Is the fact that she asked me for my phone number an IOI or some roundabout way of putting me into a "just friends" category?

2) How do I proceed from here? Since we go to the same club, we will meet each other next Friday anyway, but if she gave me her phone number does that mean that she wants me to contact her before that?

I was chatting with an HB yesterday, a perfect ten both look wise and personality wise, and at some point she suggested I take her number, which I did. At which point I was momentarily taken aback as that was the second time in my life that I phone closed a girl (the first being a few hours beforehand).

Perhaps interpreting my hesitation as an IOD or a lack of desire to call her, she then asked me for my number as well.

However, all things considered I'm still unsure whether she was actually interested in me as a boyfriend or if she just wants to hang out with me as a friend.

Since it's only the second time that I talked to her, I feel that I should call her now to reinforce the connection between us that I've established. Otherwise, by the time Friday comes along we'll revert to being "just acquaintances".

Though I have a pathological fear of phones, so what would I say to her if I phoned her her?

Also, since I still don't know her intention (perhaps she really does want to be friends and will be taken aback if I suddenly show too much interest), how do I give her a disqualifier to make her think that I'm not after her as a boyfriend and just want us to be friends?
