Most of PU seems counter productive because women think so much differently than we do that it seems like everything is backwards.

What he is doing is using a disqualifier. A disqualifier is when you say something that makes your target think you don't want to be with them. It acomplishes two things: it disarms them and makes them think your not gaming them, and it makes them want to try and make you want them.

When you tell a woman that you are not interested in her, it hits her self-esteem. They wonder why you are not interested in her. And more importantly, How they can make you interested. It basically turns the tables on them, and makes them chase you. Hot babes have tons of guys trying to get with them, but they don't have guys turn them down. You will stand out. It's basically another type of neg, but not rooted in her characteristics but rather her total worth as a potential mate.

Ok, so DeAngelo says something like "Well, let's get together and make FRIENDS. If nothing else, you sound like you might make a nice FRIEND."

Has anyone actually been in a situation and used that? Because to me, it sounds fucking stupid, like you're going to turn a chick into a friend? WTF?

This girl I know already likes me, she's not one i have to make attracted to me, I mean, why would i say something like that, it seems very counter productive?

Ok, so DeAngelo says something like "Well, let's get together and make FRIENDS. If nothing else, you sound like you might make a nice FRIEND." Has anyone actually been in a situation and used that? Because to me, it sounds fucking stupid, like you're going to turn a chick into a friend? WTF? You are really only saying that she is attracted to you, not that she likes you (she doesn't know you enough yet to judge you, only enough to determine interest or not). Attraction is fleeting. It only takes minutes, somtimes even seconds to make a woman attracted to you; and she can lose attraction even quicker. One accidental DLV and it's all gone. A neg or a disqualifer DLVs her and DHVs you. It puts you above her in her eyes. So it makes her even more attracted to you, even if she already is. A well placed disqualifier or neg could shave hours or days off of the time it takes you to f-close, or ensure an f-close that was not certain. Think of it this way. She's a hot babe and your a Decent guy that she likes because you have DHVed. When you neg her or disqualifier her, she feels like a ugly chick. Now, in her mind, she's an ugly chick that's lucky to have a high value male like you around.
