Post subject:  Which book to read first? I have too many choices!

Hey guys, first post here. :)

So far, I've read the "How to become an Alpha male" by John Alexander which was great. It didn't go much into the openers and picking up girls but rather give the traits to follow on how to become an Alpha male and which traits to avoid (being Beta).

Anyhow, there's so many books out there, I don't know which to read next. I was thinking reading them in this order:

1. Vensuian Arts Handbook (Apparently the bible of PUA's from what I've read)

2. Magic Bullets

3. The Game (I've heard that this books is more of a story)

4. Double your Dating and the rest of David Angelos Books

5. The Seduction Method and the rest of Carlos Xuma's books.

What do you guys think? Are there any other books out there that are worth mentioning?

Thanks

Read The Game first. It is written by Neil Strauss who is a NY times best selling author and it is truly a fantastic book. It covers everything from all aspects of the PUA world and is as education as it is inspirational.

I'm going to have to say Mystery and Strauss are the best places to start, after reading them both you'll pretty much have your own bearing and know where to go from there yourself

read The Game first if you want a broad overview of how pickup works. its more of a story of transformation rather than a how-to, but there are a few useful tips in there.
next, read The Venusian Arts Handbook.

double your dating would be good to read after mystery's book... gives you some nice negs and helps you develop a c&f attitude which helped me a fair bit.

i've heard that magic bullets isnt bad either, though i've never read it... my next read is style's annihilation method...

depends on where you are at in the community, if you are skeptical, read the game. if you want to get out there and do something read double your dating. if you've got time to kill and would rather a more complex game i'd read magic bullets.

Read, suggestively:
DYD => Swinggcats Real world seduction => Magic bullets by savvoy

in that order what you gain in my opinion.
DYD gives your guildlines and a good mantra and the linear idea
RWS gives you reinforced ideals, alot of good material. And most of what your mentality should be always...
Magic bullets: is definetly a last to be read. I love that book for one simple fact, i can read chapters at a time, hel i can even randomly thumb through the book and it's still 100% effective....
i have mystery's books VA, and revalations.. both good but most ppl will tell you that they typically read a short ammount of each, but if you pick through VA, revalations will be more effective.

I'm going to pick up The Game in a few hours simply because it is 80% of recommendations for first reads. On this forum and other sites.

Then it seems like a tossup between mystery, venusian arts, and double your dating.
I will probably read Mystery's after 'the game' ... Mystery freaking came up with most of the acronyms (like 'neg') and Seems like he is one of the originators of PUA. very successful.

hmm...a lot of great books already mentioned...But what about Tyler Durden's "Blueprint" (2006, altough the beta version looks like a blueprint ;-) and BadBoy's "Seduction Guide" (2007, nothing really new inside, more for the right attitude)?

you can also take a look at "The Mystery Mehtod - How to get beautiful Women into bed" (by Mystery/ Chris Odom) and the "Art of Seduction" by Robert Greene is you're interested in history...
