| Post subject: | When does an interaction go stale? |
I recently met this girl the sunday before last. Let's call her HB. She started talking to me on facebook, being real flirty and teasing etc. After a few messages back and forth, I added her on msn (I know I probably should have waited for her to make a move). From msn the IOI's started coming fast, so fast that she was the one who suggested an exchange of numbers, and even asked me to ask her what she was doing over the weekend. I hung out with her a bunch, kinoed, c/f, and fluffed a bit to get some comfort going. It seemed to be going perfectly. When I tried to escalate the following wednesday however, she pulled back and said she didn't want to do anything yet, that she preferred hanging out for the moment. I said I understood, although I should've used Ross Jeffries' line on her ("I disagree but I promise not to do anything till we're both comfortable" - thanks jon.). So I hung back for a bit and pretended not to be bothered. Last friday, I went downtown with her and her friend. Both her friend and a waitress hit on me, which DHV'd like crazy. I started getting IOI's from HB (hair flicks, kino, re initiating convo). We ended up alone for about 15 minutes in the end where I failed to act due to my uncertainty at how she felt, as she had said she wanted to wait. Now she seems to be growing distant on me, and my question is - should i have gone for the k-close in those 15 mins? And is it too late to salvage anything or should I just move on? |
