I'm going on my bike uphill pretty fast... Notice these two hotties coming down. I think quickly, slow down before passing them: "Excuse me!, Can I ask you a favor?" "My eyes are burning, can I borrow your sunglasses?", with a subtle smile. She looks puzzled. "Please, I promise I'll give them back." Then she looks at her friend and back and starts laughing with a big smile. IOI "But these are my only pair!" giggles more. "Really, it's ok thanks anyway." I smile and we part... So the IOI made my fruitless day a little better.... I should've kept playing on with her. After parting I came up with all these lines I could've linked on: Alternative scenarios. 1."Trust me you don't need them, you probably have beautiful eyes, you'll look better without them. Well I don't know I can't promise that, I'll have to see first (a neg)" "I promise, don't worry, I'll give them back to you tonight" Then I could've glanced at her friend (a likely cockblocker who'd be more suspicious of me since i wasn't giving her the attention) and said "Common, hey you agree with me right, I don't look like a thief do I?" "Don't answer that! (get a giggle maybe, sound funny)" 2. "Listen how about this, we trade, I lend you my cap, you lend me the glasses, and tonight we swtich?" ...I'm past coming up with good openers, it's the 2nd, and 3rd follow up liners I'm struggeling with. I'm always able to think of awesome stuff to say afterward but I need to work more on my quickwittedness, to come up with the follow-up lines while the targets in front of me. It's hard because her beauty makes me feel like there's a ton of bricks over my shoulders.... Any advice Bros.? |

Unfortunately for you, I don't think her smiles were IOI's. She was most likely laughing at the unlikelihood of the incident and the sheer awkwardness of it. Don't let a day game opener convey such a strong indirect way of expressing your interest in her. You might have been better off with a direct opener like "I just wanted to tell you you're cute". |

Yeah now that I look at it that way you're probably right. Ok I see. But she was definitely cute and knew it, shouldn't I have opened with a neg instead of a compliment? |

It really depends with day game. You either go with a direct opener by telling her she's cute, or with an indirect opener that doesn't come off as cheesy or quip. Something like "Hey I like your glasses, please let me have them! I promise I'll give them back to you tonight!" is just too tacky.Even something as simple as "Hey do you guys know where I can find a good lunch?" will work. After spending a good quarter of a year on these forums, I've noticed that the majority of noobies here just LOVE to put a ridiculously strong emphasis on their opener. I was guilty of this too when I was just starting out with PUA material. Look, the opener is just a line to get two people talking. Wanna know another fact? Most girls don't even remember the opener if you're able to follow it up with a good conversation. Just be yourself. I've had more success socially by not trying to be as witty as a character you'd find in a movie like Juno. If you have something funny to say, say it. If not, don't try to think so hard. You'll only end up stressing and finding your tongue tied. Try to keep something in mind... YOU WON'T BE PUNISHED FOR ACTING NORMAL. |
