| Post subject: | Losing your hair |
My older brother is losing his hair and its really affecting him with woman. Now he's no PUA and even though I've given him a copy of the game, he hasn't read it. But when he's out and talking to woman, they sometimes mention about his receding hairline. and knowing that I'm a practising PUA, he asks me for advise but I dont know really what to tell him. I've said to shave it all off but he's not comfortable with that so what can he say when they mention his hair?? |

Wear a hat, get a better haircut (shaving it off is just one option, cutting it short works well too, just don't do a comb-over), developing a personality that makes them not care about it, not feeling self conscious about it himself so that he can just brush it off and continue talking with them will show he's confident and doesn't care what others thing, get some sort of hair regrowth therapy (laser, cream, implants), but my personal favorite is just to cut it as short as you're comfortable with and own it. I started losing my hair at the age of 20 and I wasn't comfortable shaving it (my hair used to be my only vanity, so I was rather attached and upset about the whole thing) so I just buzzed it really short. After a few years, I had slowly reduced the length as I became comfortable and adventurous with it and now I buzz it right off with a beard trimmer, but don't Bic it. Chicks love it, but mostly because I'm confident and comfortable with it, which is the most important factor. Even if I don't shave my head now, as long as I'm confident about the fact I look good, it doesn't matter. |

I got a friend who is only 25 and balding. But he shaved his head and it looks pretty good. At least it looks better than balding. |

actually it be a good opener to use... you can go up to girls ask them about your brother and his balding and see what they think they would like the most that way you can find out what females would like to see and then you can suggest this or that to your brother based on what the girls liked and if your brothers like it too then hey! good situation there.. if he doesnt like what they had to say then doesnt need to do it.... its whatever he is comfortable in....do a comb-over if you want, hat, wig, surgery, bald, cut it short.... dont let anyone tell him what he cannot do if he thinks it;s good then it is..... long as he likes it but id try the girl opinin first too.... |

That's a terrible reason to do anything in life. Just because someone else did it and it worked doesn't mean you should do it too. Maybe he has a big fat hairly mole that he is covering up with the hair on the back of his head and that's why he doesn't want to shave his head. Or maybe he has a really mishapen and dented head that would look unnattractive if shaved. In that case, he's not on the same ground as Strauss and he may end up worse off than he started. |

I disagree with this kind of thinking. There are a lot of things that you can do because you think they look good and people will accept the fact that you are confident about it, but there are a lot of things that look really really bad and although you can overcome that will good skill, you are starting way further back in the race than if you took other people's opinions into account. its whatever he is comfortable in....do a comb-over if you want, hat, wig, surgery, bald, cut it short.... dont let anyone tell him what he cannot do if he thinks it;s good then it is..... long as he likes it but id try the girl opinin first too.... Say he thinks wearing a clown costume is the coolest shit ever and so he tries to go to the bar wearing one. Well first off, if he could get in (which I highly highly doubt any real establishment would let him in), then he may have the shock appeal, but people are still going to think he's a weirdo and he's gonna have to work 10x harder in order to convince them that he's really just a fun loving guy. Wearing a really dressy outfit to a dive bar is just as bad an idea; I took a student to a rock bar and he wore a nice pinstripe suit and jacket, which resulted in girls I talked to telling me that he looked like he was creepy because of it. I've got a rainbow tuque that I love, but because of society's prejudices it does cause negative effects, so there's exceedingly few instances where I can wear it. Just cause you are happy with a look, doesn't mean you shouldn't take other's into account, that's just willful ignorance and stubborness. Maybe you're cool walking down the street with your junk hanging out of your zipper, but just cause you're confident and happy with it, doesn't mean that you should take other peoples' reactions, cause if you don't, then you're gonna be called a freak, a pervert and then arrested. Just cause having a bad sense of style isn't illegal, doesn't change the fact that it colours how people feel about you. |

I have started loosing my hair at 18-20 too. I'm 24 now, I'm still loosing them. You can try putting minoxidil on your hair, it helps, but it doesn't stop the loosing. A good thing to do is to wear a hat. It really gives an easy +1 net to yourself. |
