My mate and I have recently decided to start taking this whole picking up business a little more seriously. Last nights escapade was an approach anxiety exercise. The goal. To speak to everyone. Realistically we could not speak to everyone, but I at least said hi to everyone that made eye contact with me. I probably opened 20 sets over the night with varying results, some were just little bits of small talk, others were situational comments, and others became extended conversations. The goal as stated before, was not to get numbers or pick up just to talk to as many people as possible and open as many sets as possible. Towards the end of the night as things were slowing down, I was getting massive IOIs from a HB so I number closed her and soon after kiss closed her. I used the classic, 'would you like to kiss me?' line. She didn't even say anything, she just lent in for the kiss. Then I negged her by backing off and saying take it easy. In conclusion, I am slowly getting over approach anxiety, I am definitely more confident. I recommend people take the time to just get out out talk to strangers. It does wonders for your confidence, and it is actually really enjoyable. If anything I have at least 10 new friends, not to mention a potential girlfriend:) Cheers, Jay |

Very good advice man...You know when I go out to a bar/club I still have a hell of a time appraoching Strangers,but when its not in a club I will and can talk to every stranger around...Its so funny how the mind thinks..I haven't been out to a bar/club in 2 weeks and the last time I went I got a little action at the end of the night and it was fun...So when I am able to get out again I am going to work harder on my AA in bar/clubs so I am good on all areas of PUA... |
