I was shopping yesterday with a friend who just broke up with his gf. There were surprisingly few HBs around. I needed to buy some new shoes. One of the shops I went into had a cute girl working there. I asked her about shoes and got her to get me the right sizes. I negged her about how she wasn't the right hight for me, and the flood gates opened, she started basically interrogating me and my friend about where we went last night, and what our partying habits were and what we did. I accused her of interrogating me. Then she said, 'want to hear something exciting? I'm going on a date tonight.' I want to know what that means? Was she just itching to tell someone about her date? Or does it mean something else? Because I was getting IOIs... Anyway, I didn't get her number, but I did get her name. So I added her on facebook. |

Sure, hindsight is 50/50. You probably could have # closed but there a thousand different outcomes to this game. That's why it's so fun. It's much better to have left on a high note than to have crash and burned and have the hb thinking you're a weirdo and telling her friends the same.(Not that you were in any danger of this) With all those utube videos and PUA training schools giving this community a competitive flavor, I think too many of us are forgetting why we're doing this. Hey, this is only a competition only against individual selves . . . our emotions and our habits. There is no mad race to get a # quick, k close right away . . . F close within a certain # of dates. It's great that you left her on that high note. Believe me, she's curious. . . and you're thinking about her enough to write about the encounter here. This is good! This is flirting. This is fun. Your situation with her is now at a much better point than it was before. Now you have the time to relax, WRITE down a strategy, and take this to the next level. Although I agree with G lantern in that you could have done a hundred different things to hook up with her right away. Noooo problems. I still think your open was a grade A. You met, you actually negged her instead of insulting her, you built enough rapport for her to qualify herself as a "dating individual" and she let you in on her World. Keep this energy flowing and continue your style on as many hb's as possible. As for this initial hb, kino high five right away the next time you see her. "Yo . . . what's up?" - and a high five is all it will take. After that, the next kino-touch is much, much easier. Something hold your hand up, "Give me your hand for a sec . . ." She will give you her hand RIGHT away. Sloooowly look at her body up and down "Hmmm. . . yeah, I don't know. Maybe I was wrong about the height thing. Heels could add what 2 or 3 inches?(If she's shorter). Maybe a pair of boat shoes could do the trick(If she's taller)" . . . "Ooh, you're the hottest short girl I've seen today." "You're the hottest tall girl I've seen today." Go from there. Usually, I don't recommend negs but you seem to have figured it out and already used it to your advantage. Nice job. . . |

Good call Green Lantern. I like the playfulness of that response. I prefer to err on the side of playful rather than cocky funny. And thank you Kasabi for the in depth analysis. I have no idea how I will get in touch with her again though, hopefully she friends me on facebook. I guess I could go back to the mall... I like the day2 opener. I can see my self doing that and I feel totally comfortable with it. Which is what is important. Good job guys, Jay |
