Okay, so I don't know whether I read this somewhere or whether it just came to me out of thin air, but here's a little thing I thought of yesterday.

Setting: bar, club, beach - anywhere people sit and socialize

Sit with your buddies (or alone) at a table (or anywhere really). Have a pen and a piece of paper. Look at the HB in a very contemplative way for a few seconds so that she or some of her friends notice. Then start drawing stick figures of her and her friends in the scene but act like you're drawing something very difficult. Make a concentrated face.

When you're done with the drawing approach the set and say something like this:

"Hey, I'm an artist and I find the way you carry yourself captivating. I couldn't resist capturing it. I don't like to be there when people view my art so wait till i sit back down before you look at it."

(Make sure wherever you're headed back to isn't terribly far away (maybe 30-50 feet max).

Naturally she'll look at the drawing and laugh. She'll look back at you and you give her a goofy look (one that's flirtatious and a little cocky funny).

She'll likely approach you to say something, or later you can walk up to her and say something like "how'd you like my masterpiece?" Then tell her she can keep it as long as she doesn't sell it.

I instructed my buddy to do this at the beach today while i was in the water inconspicuously observing. The girl laughed and looked over at him as he was walking away. But where he was stationed was a good 100 ft away from the target, and she didn't look like she was about to make that long walk. I noticed this while I was out in the water and decided to go talk to her.

I sat down next to her with the intention of using the jealous girlfriend opener, but instead just said "Hey". We talked for a couple minutes and then she asked if I wanted to give my buddy her number. "Sure" I replied, as if i didn't care.

We fluffed a bit. She wrote on the picture "This is cute. Is this supposed to be me? I'm ______." Then she wrote her cell and her home number and handed me the piece of paper.

We talked more and then i left.

I think if my buddy was sitting a little closer and had emphasized for her not to look at it till he sat down - it might've worked a little better.

Any input appreciated.

I think this is good as long as the target doesn't leave while you're drawing her.
