| Post subject: | How to choose openers that's congruent with oneself? |
Hey guys... For some reason, I feel like I am taking a step back in the game. Right now, I am doing a lot worse than a month ago with the same opener and routine, I don't know why. I start to feel less and less comfortable with my material, and of course I get blown out left and right now. Some people point out to me that my material doesn't seem congruent with my identity, that's why it's not working on the girls I like.. So what kinda image am I currently projecting? Hmm... I have asked several guys and girls about what category of person would they put me in based on my appearance. None of them could come up with anything.. They are just as confused as I am myself.. I am 27, 5'10, pretty slim but athletic, long leg, short hair and so on. However, my face looks like under 21, and i think that's why a lot of time I get blown out using direct openers on girls that are really hot.. The kinda image that I like is badass people, like DMX is cool.. But I know I can't pull it off, it just won't work on myself.. So guys, any advice on how to make oneself more congruent with the style and the right style of approach? Thanks for help |

If you try being something you're not, even though how hard you try, it wont work. The only advice I can give you, is to really identify with the whole style (music, people, clothing, lifestyle, everything) and actually mean it (not just because you want to), or find a style that is actually you. Where I come from (westside Oslo), too many try to be all gangstah/hiphop/wth, and it's just ridiculous at best, because to them it was all about 50cent and clothing, not lifestyle and attitude. |
