Post subject:  ADD/ADHD

So I met this girl and I think she may have ADD or ADHD. I am not all that familiar with these things so Im not sure how to tell the difference or if there is even a difference b/w the two conditions.

I find it very difficult to communicate with this chick. She is always distracted and all over the place. Almost every girl I have ever dated has been somewhat scattered and just kinda crazy in general, but this is a bit different.

Anyone have any experience or advice about this?

alright so.... ADD (attention Deficit Disorder) and ADHD (Attention DEfiecit hyperactive disorder) are different. ADD is not being a ble to focus, and ADHD is not being able to focus or sit still. usually people grow out of ADHD, so i ask, how old is the girl? also, if u want to keep tabs on someone with ADD, drop to her level, switch your topics crazy fast, don't give her time to lose interest. sadly, the game doesnt really work well on people who dont pay attention to the routines, so perhaps you need to figure out a less (or more depending on who you are) orthadox approach to closing this one.

I gamed a girl with ADD once (kiss close). While you can't do routines on her because of her lack of attention, stay dominant. Keep teasing her, be dominant. Always be in control, almost controlling her.

We were taking a walk, and I would on occasion just take her places I felt like going without giving any reason. If I was bored with a topic, I just changed it, even though I knew she would talk about something else in a couple of minutes.

Another important thing, was to be less sublte with CF and negs, because she often were too distracted to take the subtle ones.

It worked out great for me.

Thanks for the advice. This chick is about 30 y/o but based on what you are saying, Im thinking she is ADHD. I have already f-closed this one and we are continuing to hang out a bit.

I can really identify with what you say about the subject continuously changing and not being able to sit still. This is especially true when it comes to phone calls. On the phone the subject changes so fast I tend to get lost and frustrated, even to the point of thinking she is disinterested completely.

I like what you said about trying to be on her level and jumping around too. I guess my question is this, is it possible to have a relationship with someone like this? She isnt on any meds that I know of but would that help? It seems like someone like this would lose interest in a relationship just like they lose interest in everything else. Anyone ever tried this?

Relationships can work out great, as long as you establish yourself as the boss and be really dominant. If she looks up to you and does what you tell her to, it can work out almost perfectly.

i actually have add. and i am a chick haha. if you can grab my attention then you ultimately win points haha. it really isnt that hard. if you compliment her you will hold her attention for a bit. also if you point out or neg her about her being distracted all the time. she will calm down. say she reminds you of a kid in a candy store or a squirel haha

I have an ADHD diagnosis myself, so if there's something you'd like to have a attention deficiant take on, feel free to PM me. :P I'm not really hyper active as far movement goes though, I'm more of a hyper active talker, and thinker. The expression 'scatterbrained' comes to mind. :P I often think ridiculously fast, but I easily lose my train of thought along the way :P

I seriously don't recommend negging a ADHD person about his/her ease of distraction, though. It can seriously backfire, unless you keep the negs super light. Many of us are very sensitive about it (just like teasing a little person about his/her height). And, yeah, I know some ADD/ADHD girls who feels this way too.

Otherwise, good advise guys! Remember that even though some things will be more complicated with an ADHD target, other stuff will actually be simpler... If you can handle us, that is :P

I guess if she tends to get distracted, then just be incredibly interesting. It seems like games would work in that kind of situation since they tend to be short, interesting, and engaging.
