There is this girl in my History class who I never talked to until the end of the year, where I approached her and walked her to her next class then number closed. I couldn't get any material in because she talked about a fluffy topic the whole trip to her next class; the time is very constrained, but I felt I could number close because I'm not a complete stranger. So I talked to her on just a couple occasions before school ended but never really got an IOI's, just building friendship. Now we are scheduled to hang out in this upcoming august (on my watch). Is there a way I can assure this can be a date (and not just hanging out) or build some kind of IOI over the phone or online before going out with her? I originally just planned to take advantage of hanging out and try to build attraction but she has no clue that I'm interested in her now and if she finally gets a hint while we're hanging out and then rejects me, that can be a little awkward the rest of the time period. (Btw, the only thing I could notice was her shaking her hand as she put my number in her cell, is that meaningful in anyway?) |

You should lead the conversation. If she's fluffing and gets bored, it will be you that's boring. Lead to where you want to be. Why do you want to make it a date in case she realises you're interested when just hanging out? Are you hanging out with friends? Just go about things as normal and isolate if you get IOIs. If she rejects you - so what? Why are you thinking about that? You can't fail unless you don't try; you can only learn. Quote:

i dont see how you got stuck in the friends zone if you never really talked to this girl. Now that you have her number it seems like fair game. I dont think you're in the friends zone yet but very close to it. Just dhv and kino like everyone always says and she'll see you more than just a friend. good luck |
