I met this girl on holiday who I'm really into. 9.5 on the rictor scale, I can handle it, but only if I mend the cracks in my foundation as they appear. Here's the corrispondance we've had publically on eachother's walls so far since we both got back: Quote:
(3:05am) Rox and Mega are now friends.
So far I've just been natural, trying not to think about what I'm writing too much, just letting it flow out. So what do you guys think so far? Have I missed oppertunities? Where can I take this next? Private messages? Date? How can this best be done?(3:05am)Rox wrote on Mega's wall. (3:05am)Rox: aite my son?! hows it going? made it back to the uk? x (10:58am)Mega: after two nights of sleeping rough and blagging my way through three airports making up crazy stories for customs as to why I'm using a peice of paper with my face glued on it for a passport... yes I think I'm all here. First of all mate, being from the UK aswell I can tell you most Americans wont understand most of that, secondly why are you typing like that? If you typed normally like you did in this post you wouldn't come off as such a try-hard, no offense... I just hate skivvy words like 'bare' and all that UK grime bullshit. Is she a bit of a scrot? (chav, no offense). Because if she is then you dont need to game scrotty girls... its a no brainer, just buy them ciggies in exchange for various pleasures. Word. |

No, she's no chav. She's very sophisticated and well spoken. But if I were to write formally like I do on forums, my blog or college essays, where I'm trying to make myself understood by as many people as possible, instead of how I actually talk, I would come accross as padantic and stuck-up, which I'm not. I think the whole point of this thread is that I'm not trying hard at all - yet. Believe it or not, I live in London, speak like a cockney and use slang words frequently. She lives in London, speaks like a girl (most girls speak more delicately than men do no matter what dialect is naturally spoken in the area) and understands what I'm saying. She's told me her favourate types of music are Dub-Step and Grime by the way. She wants to be a music promoter yet has a degree in radiology. Try not to be so judgemental. We're talking about game, not personal taste. By the way, for anyone who doesn't know: Quote: Bare adj. Large, great; possessing lots of a particular quality. Can be combined with other words to emphasise them eg. bare-long, bare-good, bare-funny.
Quote: Blagged verb. Obtain (something) by clever talk or lying: they blagged two free tickets to France.
Quote: Rave noun. or verb. (Raving, Raver) A very large party or similar event with dancing to loud, fast electronic music.
Quote: Jam verb. 1 To sit, relax or hang about in one place.
I used the first meaning. I said, "Man jam," meaning chilling out with the boys, or my male friends.2 To leave (somewhere) on foot. 3 Informal, usually improvised playing of music in a group. In fact, we had actually been chilling out, getting stoned and drunk with some girls who had left earlier. But I felt it would have been off-hand and agenda-driven to say that. |

Speak of the devil, she just replied as I was at the computer. I'll leave it a day or two to reply though. Get some life stuff done and let more people reply to this. I've added her reply to my first post. |

Funny how as soon as someone puts some real correspondance out there for people to see, the arse holes come out in force and start slating people. Stop trying to talk about things you have no clue about (erm, you haven't heard her talk, how could she possibly "sound" well spoken through e-mail - and why should she make the effort?). It makes you look like a prick. Basically GTFO until you have something constructive to say. Peace. |

That writing is so annoying to read. It's not attractive by any means, are you 12? Come on, grow up. |

It's simple, lazy type. Straight from brain to keyboard as if I were talking. This is Facebook, not a formal request to make love written by hand on an aging peice of paper with a quill. If your advice is "Show off your grammar, it will make you seem more attractive," say it like it is without the insults... you absolute cunt. Personally, I'd rather stick to speaking like I always have growing up in London. I am a cockney. This is part of my identity. Fuck off if you don't like it. |

As if you were talking? So you like sounding like an illiterate fool? |

What you say is far more important than how you say it. I know for a fact that girls like an accent. If I were to go outside of London, even places within England, a lot of girls would be instantly attracted to the way I speak. If you don't believe me, consider this: I don't give a fuck about this forum and I have a great life that involves many women. I don't need to lie, or flame like you, to boost my ego. If you don't understand the concept of DIALECT (you might want to look it up) then don't open your stupid mouth. So if you're saying I sound like an illiterate fool, no matter how perfect your grammar, you're still making yourself look like an arsehole. Whereas if I were to speak to a girl or anyone for that matter and show empathy, wisdom and character then all I'd get is positive responces. I'll let you into a secret, language is a conversation peice. No matter if she likes or dislikes some of the words I use or the way I say it it can become a positive, revealing conversation about eachother's habits of speech. Although to be honest, girls have only ever reacted positively towards the words I use and the way I speak. So er, 10:49pm, friday night, taking the piss out of people all night not get you anywhere? Damn I guess you must not be trying hard enough... |
