Post subject:  Comfortable in your skin?

Hey guys, well this whole community has definitely gotten me more social than i used to be...that being said, i was recently invited to a "blt" party this friday which is a "boxers lingerie and towels" party. Problem is that im kind of a larger guy...im definitely the fattest out of all of the guys and girls i hang out with. I dont consider myself to be obese but i've definitely got some extra body fat. Im very aprehensive about going to this party...normall i have to be borderline drunk just to get into a jacuzzi with everyone...and by then, im not gaming anybody. There will be some very good looking girls there...some i know, some i wont. How would you guys overcome being uncomfortable like that? Idk if i'll be going, and im not sure if i want to just show up in my clothes cause that might be lame...what are everyone's words of wisdom?

Go to the party man, wear some boxers with a towel over top, that way you have a bit more on, but you're still playing by the rules. This will show people how much confidence you have and we all know that confidence is the most important and powerful thing there is.

In order to not feel self conscious, just don't think about how you look, just put your stuff on and then live, don't think about how you look and what people think of you, just have a good time and enjoy yourself. I know how you feel, cause I've always been self conscious about how I look, but when I just stop thinking about it and live life, no one treats me different or looks at me funny, so they obviously aren't offended. You were invited to the party and if people thought you were bad looking, or gross or anything like that, then they wouldn't have invited you. They just think you're a person and that's what you are, just another person and that's how they're gonna treat you. It isn't what's on the outside, it's what's on the inside, remember.

Rye Lee said here. I've always been self conscious... then I realized there is nothing to be self conscious about. In fact people like you more if you're confident in yourself rather than what you look like. If it doesn't phase you, it doesn't phase them.

But, I admit it's a hard thing to overcome. IT IS OBVIOUS when you're self conscious about yourself. With that said, if you are having a "moment of self reflection" don't look it, look confident and carefree. People can tell if you're holding back. Try not to focus on it. If it helps find faults in everybody you see. Focus on their small faults like it's 10x worse than yours. Something to make you confident.

Another thing, you might wanna come prepared... if you do get made fun of, or you find yourself at the end of somebody's jokes, make sure you have a rebuttal.

For example: "Dude you're pretty brave for coming, your size and all..."
You'd say: "Psssshhhh.... what're you talking about? Women can't get enough of this! (point at yourself) I decided to get bigger so there'd be more of me to share!"

Remember you're the prize. Girls want confidence, not looks. AMOG the hell out of your friends if they start fat jokes...

aha thanks guys...rye, great words...and i completely forgot about that episode of the show...im mobile so i cant watch it right now but i remember the whole thing with the pool party...no one will be making any fat jokes...my friends wont cuz they know what im capable of, and if someone i dont know starts shit, then they'll get kicked out, if not then i'll take care of them...haha a fight in boxers would be a first...if i start to feel self concious then alcohol will take care of that...i just wont be gaming well after that as im sure you all know...thanks for the advice guys.

Haha, no alcohol and definitely no fights! You wanna create an SPAM of attraction, not awkwardness... Just make a joke about it and smile the whole time. Look people in the eyes and assert your dominance.

I agree with the guys, what really matters is confidence. And if you really wanna make a point of it, I say go in there with guns blazing;) Why not get a nice matching bra to go with your boxers?

I don`t know how "big" you are, or if you do infact have any man-boops, but it would still show them you have lots of guts and confidence. It would help you overcome your selfawereness by having the others laugh with you instead of some guy trying to crack a joke at the big guy. It would also improve your game by showing everyone you have loads of confidence, as well as surve as a peacocking tool (what girl won`t notice a guy in a bra?), and a great conversation starter;)

Just a thought:)

If you present yourself with confidence, some girls will find your body fat endearing and cute. If you don't they will think you're just a fat shit. You choose.

Although I am slightly overweight...I'm not at the point of having large man boobs or anything. Although I think tommorow a friend (the guy who's house the party is at) and I are gonna go look for some slick chones to wear to this gig...What? That doesn't sound gay at all to me. lol.

Oh and my mistake, its a "Boxers, Lingerie, and Tie party...so maybe I'll go for a swim before ppl get there and then where a towel afterwards...So I'll be looking for a cool tie tommorow as well. Idk who comes up with these themes, but I'm just ready to see some chicks with great bodies in lingerie.

Any recommended routines or anything? I think the hardest thing for me will just be keeping the confidence up. As far as opening, I'll probably just have my friends introduce me or something, and don't really know where it will go from there.

well guys im back from the party and sadly had to leave early because i have work in 6 hours...As far as gaming goes i wasnt successful, and didnt close at all...BUT I had a great time..towards the beginning of the night i approached a 3 set that had seperated themselves from everyone else with an hb8 and her two non hb big friends...these girls were fully clothed and i wasnt so it was a little more difficult than usual...talked for a bit, and then left to socialize and preserve my value, but didnt see them again so i guess they left...i rode my streetbike over so i had my gear with me...so i had on some polyester boxers, my leather jacket with the zipper just attached to expose my chest and stomach, and some blue shades i found earlier today...i got plenty of compliments on what i was wearing from girls and guys both saying i was looking pretty sexy...boy i love being different an peacocking...so overall i had a great time, and it was a real inner game and confidence booster...im glad i went and reccomend a party like this to anyone that has lack of confidence in their body.

Good to hear bro... much better when you're not worrying about your body and actually having a good time eh?
