I like the question what would you want to be when you were 7 and following up with and what do you do now. However I believe its also a guideline not to be asking these questions. So whats right and wrong here?

I don't see the problem here. Asking what a girl does work wise may lead to a common interest or another thing to talk about.

Whats wrong with asking those questions? Its ok but you dont want to start off asking those types of questions especially in an interview format. You need to establish yourself first.

ok cool thanks for the feedback I needed to clear this out. Its just because I read somewhere that you should avoid those standard questions. Yes I will ask this mostly after I have done a routine so already have some comfort.

There's nothing inherently wrong with the question. I'd wait until you're in C1 or C2 though.
