Post subject:  Opinion on my first opener (day game)

First opener haven't field tested yet testing tomorrow

I know this is a little random, we are in a mall, and we don't know each other but there's something really interesting about you and if I didn't come over I would've been kicking myself all day. I want to ask you, whats the difference between cute and sexy.

Any good, comments feed back please, thanks

Sounds alright but it's very direct. In my limited experience of day game situational openers work well, because they are spontaneous they come off far more genuine.

Go ahead and test it but I don't think you'll see much success using it. It's extremely direct, and daygame really favors indirect openers.

For one, don't throw an indirect opinion opener onto the end of direct opener, it's redundant.

I like the idea, but your shooting yourself in the foot from the get-go.

Don't focus so much on the abnormalities, you are making yourself seem awkward. Portraying and projecting confidence and comfort leave those around you feeling comfortable with and confident in you.

Saying "there's something really interesting about you and if I didn't come over I would've been kicking myself all day" does not jive well with an opinion opener. The purpose of an opinion opener is to be indirect whereas the above is COMPLETELY direct. It is best to just say, "I want to ask you", "I have a question for you" or just "excuse me, what do you think the difference is between...".

If your with someone (for a topic like this, ESPECIALLY a pivot or gay wing) "my friend and I were just discussing the difference between cute and sexy...". If your alone, you could say that 'you had been discussing the topic earlier' "and you look as though you may have an opinion on the subject." If done under the right conditions (especially HB8+), you get the benefit of a slight DVH (just by talking about an interesting discussion with friends) and its a pseudo-neg in your opener.

I'm a big fan of opinion openers, so I would suggest trying to find one that is also situational. Both of these went over very well. The benefit of the opinion opener is because it gets the target personally involved while that of the situational is that its happening right now and is therefore more interesting. I think the best two that I can think of off hand are:

1. Last week, I was at a bar in Tel Aviv and there were two people practically fucking while sitting at the bar. I approached a two set and said "my friends and I are taking bets on how long until they next need to come up for air" while pointing at Mr. and Mrs. PDA.

2. A few weeks ago at a bar in Tiberius, I noticed two HBs and one kept eying me up, so I walked up and said, "Do you speak English?" (they ended up being American, so that was an instant plus for their excitement). "Alright, well my friend has a thing for the guard on our trip. She's kinda been sending him mixed messages, what do you think he should do?" (while pointing in the direction of my friend and our guard).

Does that help?

The opener your suggesting could come across as a bit needy or desperate. I think situational openers are best during the day. If it was in a mall or a shopping centre as we call them over here  I'd ask her opinion on something I was buying, especially if it was clothes because girls love their clothes so you'd instantly have her attention. Try something like 'I need a girls opinion, do you think black jeans or blue jeans would go best with these shoes?'.

Yes, its helped I'll just ask her a question (Whats the difference between cute and sexy) I'm only 15 so I could probably get away with more stuff. lol I'm gonna open a milf and see what happens.

,Thanks for the help

No prob bud, but being 15, I don't see any MILFs in your immediate future unless they're under 20, in which case, STEER THE FUCK CLEAR! Actually, if your going for girls, rather than trying to get away with shit because your 15, try and play it chill. Aside from their cars, girls your age go for older guys because of maturity--> always stand out from the rest, be the best.

Try this

'Hi... you look good at shopping. (she looks at you like WTF) Help me out here, I'm looking for a good t-shirt to rock on holidays this year... Where should I head to? ... and dont look at me like that, I was just saying I admired your sense of style... you have that certain (french words spelt phonetically because I dont speak french- ) gin-new-say-quaw...

(she laughs and answers with name of shop)...

Oh really? Nah I heard they stocked awful clothes! you sure your Mom didnt buy those clothes for you or something? Can you get her down here to help me out?

(she laughs)...

I heard they [point at nearest mens clothing store] are pretty decent?

[she replies with her perception of the shops clothing]...

Ok then thanks... now, what colour do you reckon? My friend [insert female name here] told me that dark greens and blues would go great with my skin-tone, but someone else said I should go, get this, *inverted comma fingers thing* 'light and tight' to accentuate my amazing muscles and ripped bod *flex biceps whilst raising one-eyebrow in a The-Rock-wrestler-type face*... what you think?... (she replies laughing)... Ok cool, right c'mon you're not done yet, come help me pick one out before I have to call your Mom and ask her for her advice... *take her into shop*

"Hey.. I'm buying a tshirt for my GF, but I don't know her size... do you tink it's better to buy one size too large.. or one size too small?"

Very casual if you are in the right place (Y).
