Your idea of an HB7 might be my idea of an HB10 depending on personal preference.

Most men put Angelina Jolie at an HB10 but I think her lips look like an inflamed anus and her nose is too skinny for my idea of perfection. Also, If a chick has implants, she can never be higher than an HB8 IMHO.

It works for story telling and for purposes of this board because if I say HB8 you will interprate your idea of an HB8 and we'll be on the same page. However, there are rules of approach that seem more concrete in dealing with HB levels. In that case, we would all have to agree on her rating to execute proper game.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder but is there a standard? What is the standard? Would it include more than looks .. like more of an overall desireability level? ie. Status/money/fame
Maybe we run game based on what MOST MEN would rate her rather than what I might rate her personally...?

No there is no standard. And its based on looks only. But yes, what you think is a 10, I may thing is not a 10. But that's the beauty of the system, cuz you can say a 10 and we'll all invision what we think a 10 is, and there's no arguing about "yes she's a 10" "No she's not" blah blah blah bull shit.

Ha ha, no, there is no standard at all. For example, the girl I'm with: she is short, somewhat pale, shoulder length brown hair, freckles, thin. To me, she is a total knock out. Now my friend, he is dating a girl thats his hight, blond, short blond hair, and she is relatively bare chested. To him, she is gorgeous. We have a very different opinion of HB. It really all comes back to what your type is. However, this is just a physical sense. Now beyond that, it's just the connection you have with person. How you interact, how you feel about her, what she does for you (beyond physical).

Actually, I was wrong. There is a standard. And the standard is your own. Set it yourself and live and work by it. Good luck man, and find what ever HB makes you happy.

The scale is a guideline and is to me a tool to measure how much she has been hit on and how she feels about herself. Does she look confident, is she cute, is she in her natural environment? I consider all of these (and alot more) when I "rate her", and then figure out how I will treat her based on that. Is she a 7 in this situation? Then I'm a bit carefull when I neg or bust on her. Is she a what someone will call a 9 in her natural environment? Neg and bust on her from the very beginning.

It's as I figured but theres a still a problem.

Extreme example:

Lets say I read an article of how to game an HB10.

I'd strut over to 50 year old woman with gray hair because I think shes hot ,"my preference" and start running an HB10 game on her. Would I fail miserably? Probably. I'd NEG the shit out of that old bag till she beat me with her granny purse and storm off field, crying.

Thinking "Damn! Guess I should run the HB7 game I read about last week on this Liv Tyler look-alike chick there at the other end of the bar. Boy do I despise long silky black hair but I'm getting a little desparate here."

Maybe it's best to run game IAW what an average mans standard would be so there is no confusion as to a proper approach.

You slipped that post in while I was typing, nightfox. Good assessment. Agreed

Depends on how you mean it really. If you're talking about looks, then you can phrase it in your own opinion, or what you think the general populace takes for that rating. If you're talking about running game on a girl, then the general concensus is that you should base it on what she thinks of herself, because that's all that's really gonna affect how the interaction goes; not whether you think she's hot, but if SHE thinks she's hot.

Makes sense enough. You really need to assess the situation before judging her level. It matters more to her how she might rate herself and you need to be perceptive enough to run game accordingly. Maybe even change up your game during the interaction as you gain info if it becomes obvious you judge her differently than she would judge herself.

An HB7 who just woke up in the morning to fetch her mail from the mailbox sporting her robe, mussed hair, and no make-up should be approached differently than when shes at her job as an erotic dancer, where she feels like an HB10. Two different perceptions she would have of herself and therefore you game differently.

Sound about right?

No way.

In fact, I HATE the 1-10 scale. It's too subjective, confusing, objectifying, and ego-based. I have two categories in my "scale." They are called "I like" and "I don't like."

You'll never find a number following the letters "HB" in my FRs and LRs unless I give some sort of disclaimer like in my FR "The lesbian of 80s night" lol.
