Post subject:  how to respond to an insult?

I know that a pua shouldnt really show that any insult about him or his looks, whatever really bothers him. But if a derogatory comment is made about u by someone in the set or a single girl then what kind of response could i use to come back without being so mean it looks like i care. Also any tricks about trying to remain calm and keeping a solid confident frame if this happens?

If you want to act like it does not bother you just laugh with them and say, "That was a good one. I've never heard that before." or "I liked that. You should be a comedian." Those are good lines because it appears like you are in control, you are laughing with them about a comment about you then you praise him. This throws them off a lot of the times.

But if you want to get Middle School on his/her ass say, "If I wanted (a) cum back, I would wipe it off your Mom's chin..." LOL

The choice is yours...

Seems like this would do even better directed towards someone else in the set. For example "Is she always this rude? How come you still hang out with her?"

Im with you on this one. Beschatten while I think you have a point, I think directly challenging her like that could stir the pack of friends i.e. instant bitch shields back up followed by a quick "get the fuck outta here!!!"

Don't show your target that much attention, what has she done to deserve it!!! Remember she has to show value to YOU in order for her to converse with you. Again this all depends on how early in the set this pops up!! If you are definatley building comfort and trying to lay on some kino, then damn right break her balls for stepping outta line!! hehe

Good post guys, interesting discussion!!!

No, there's something better than anything here.

For 99% of insults, you just add sexual innuendo, where it wasn't intended. Make sure your wit is sharp because the funnier it is, the more you're in control.

I've heard about the "Love you too (sweetheart)." Has to be congruent with your body language though.

use a line like this, if she says something insulting say "Wow are you always this cute when your mad?" It works the best when they arent mad at all.

I would say the advice given here is excellent,

as for congruent body language, you could use cynical body language to emphasise sarcasm, or use congruent body language to suprise them, possibly close proximity as well to throw them off guard but this may show intent of getting back depending on certain variables. e./g if you are already sitting down.

off the top of my head, if it escalates and the person gets angry, you could say,

*briefly look around* ''Is anyone here a doctor? Where you looking at the barman's hands or eyes? he might have slipped something in your drink cos You're going quite red.''

maybe slightly lengthy, but it may work in certain situations.

Some great advice there...luckily its only happened twice for me...this girl just sorta snapped at me...my reply was rubbish.. i just said "stop flirting with me" the next time i said "thats the wrost chat up line....i prefer using" then went into a cheesy chat up line....the delivery saved me with a cheeky smile and i got myself out of a mess...she apologised and seemed to have worked.....somehow haha
