Post subject:  Awful Field Report (Less than 30 post count)
Please bare in mind, this is my first real sarge, first real night out in a long time. I know the material, the theorey behind game and all that, its just that I've never practiced it and so my implementing of game last night was...well you couldn't really call it gaming. But here it is warts'n'all.


I went out with my brother (Lee), his girlfriend (Ellen = HB7), her friend (Jill = HB8) and (Beth = HB8.5 on the night). Now Beth is an ex that I have 2 little girls with. We split up because I was far too needy and afc, but thats not the topic of this post. Anyway, we are still great friends and very close but just not together.

We hit the town at around 7:30. I was dressed wearing a tight fitting pink Yves Saint Laurent t shirt and looked not bad. We did the usual rounds of pubs, had a few drinks then hit a club at just gone 9pm. The place had barely anyone in at that time except a definite hb9 wearing what could only be described as a playboy bunny outfit (ala bridget jones) with like fluffy feather tails hanging down from her bum to the floor. Now like I said in previous posts, I love going for the hired guns, I cant resist it. Anyway, she was handing out hawaii lei, those floral things that go around your neck.

When she went to put one over me I stopped her.

[bMe: No, no I dont want one of them, I want one of them (pointed to her backside and to the feathery tail things)
HB9: (laughed) I cant, they're attached (Went to put a lei over my head anyway)
Me: No, I want one of them (with a smile)
HB9: They dont come off, here pull
Me: (I tugged and she laughed)
HB9: See, here have one of these as a tail (and then she tried to reach round and either shove one in my back pocket or belt so that one of the lei's would be like a tail on me.
Me: (As she did, I turned around back to face her as if I didnt want her touching me but still smiling) Whoa, I charge for girls to touch my ass.
HB9: Laughs

Here is the problem I kept repeating all night, I would quit while I'm ahead. I walked off as soon as I didnt nknow what to say and it felt natural to end the interaction.

About half an hour later, there was a 6 set group of girls all dressed as police officer, must have been out on a hen-do. But they all wore these really really short pants that just showed the bottom part of their ass cheeks. They were also 8s and 9s. They were hot.

So I said to my friends I was with, "watch this" lol, I had had a few drinks by then so feeling a little cocky. I strolled casually over to them and went up to one of them in random. Now the first mistake I made was I addressed one of them and not the group.

Me: Wow nice outfits
HB9: (Rolls eyes but smiles)
Me: Shame you girls are all a bit average (I laughed and then ejected)

In my mind I planned to go back later.

A bit later on there was a 4 set of girls, they were 5, 6, 7, 6.5s on the hb scale. Now they were sat down on these 2, 2-seater couches either side of the coffee table. There was no place for me to sit so I squatted. I said hello and went straight to work.

Me: Hey ladies, I need your advice on something before I go. (HB7 couldnt hear me properly asked what I said, so her friend told her. They all leaned forward.
HB7: Oh ok, I'm good at giving advice, shoot!
I then did the routine of the jelous girlfriend finding pics in a draw. I think I did it quite well and so they all chipped in giving bits of advice and the HB7 even dropped into the conversation that she has a boyfriend. (Shit test?) I think I had had one too many drinks as I wasnt concentrating and looking for IOIs.

Anyway, I didnt follow it up. My brain went to mush, I couldn't think of anything to follow it up with and so I ejected.

I did manage to talk one guy into giving me his light sabre.

+ves:

I opened well and confidently.
I opened whole sets without much AA

-ves:

Kept ejecting way too early
Did not stack material very well
Missed opportunities for good negs
Did not concentrate on looking for IOIs

With hired guns it is often worse to keep going when things are going good, instead eject and go back later, but you have to go back later, or you're never gonna close. This tactic works well on non-hired guns too, but the issue is being able to find them again and circumstances can change against your favor. Just remember if you ejected and you were doing well and have intentions of closing, then you HAVE to go back, or it's not gonna go anywhere.

Don't drink, or at least don't drink more than one an hour, so that you manage to keep your senses about you and you don't lose the ability to be aware of your surroundings and see IOIs. It will solve the "my brain turned to mush" problem.

As far as stacking material, that is something you're gonna get better at with practice. Same for the negging.

You sound like you did a good job for your first time sarging and especially without any experienced PUAs out there to push you, so give yourself a pat on the back and psych yourself up for the next chance you get to go out. I recommend that when you're starting out you try to go at least twice a week, otherwise you aren't doing it with enough regularity to improve at a very fast pace.

I feel you on the hired guns part. Went to a club last week and the only really hot target there was going round taking photos of people to sell to them. I was completely sober due to being my group's driver and so I felt apprehensive, knowing she would have seen and heard every trick in the book.
That didn't stop me from putting my hat on her though, to which she laughed and then playfully returned it.

You went out and Sarged, approached diverse sets, no problems there.
