Is there anyway I can make a story about someone breaking into my car a DHV story? Or should I just not use that story in pickup game? |

I'd tell it. You just need to make sure that you don't come off as whiney, mad or depressed about it. If it's an interesting story, or you've got something about it that you want to relate to them with, then tell it. If the conversation turns to the quality of drivers my city, or car accidents, then I tell the stories about car accidents I had while in my work van in my old job. There's nothing about it that particularly displays higher value, but they make for interesting stories and people can relate to them because everyone knows Calgarians are the worst drivers on the face of the planet (aside from Montreal if the stories one guy told me are true). I am able to use the story to then talk about the various places I've travelled to or lived in and the quality of driving there, then turn it into just talking about that place and whatever topic I want to bring up about that place. If a story doesn't particularly demonstrate higher value, then it doesn't mean you should tell it. |

That's a bad story. Don't use anything remotely violent as a dhv. Bad bad bad! Instead, use, I was driving my car and saw this old lady trying to cross the street but there was so much traffic she couldn't. So I actually stopped traffic by stopping my car and let her cross.... |
