Post subject:  Approach anxiety at first, yet worked on dancefloor?

hey all,

i attempted my first night sarging today, gotta say i failed miserably.. didnt really talk to anyone. however i made a couple of breakthroughs:

1) drove. said no to the drink tonight and i think im becoming just as confident when drinking and when im sober

2) girls i know as acquaintances i began to act with more PUA-style than my traditional nice boy gentlemen AFC style. Not for the intent of sarging but rather 'practice' for sarge cause im comfortable talking to these school/uni mates. reaction is different like they wanna talk to u more rather than u sucking up to them

Now the main question is... everytime i go to attempt a set im left speechless, like i have no idea wat to do. i know its AA kicking in, but at times im like i can take on the world and other times im like shit i cant do anything right. My environment was with guys who are AFC's/got gf's or just not into picking up (dunno why.. :P), maybe i need to become associated with people who sarge more. so any pointers in this regard? just blurt out whatever i was gunna say to the set and grow some balls? lol

another thing that i guess worked, is that my drunk mate wanted to dance n get with some chicks, ive done it b4, wasted, didnt think id fair too well sober as a judge. however a girl eyed me n i eyed back, eventually started grinding up n down, kissing her gently, just not real hook up. felt good for a bit but no game.. lol i guess AA went out the window on the dance floor.. which is strange to me cause id think ud be MORE nervous dancing than just opening sets..

i know this is a long post and appreciate those who read.. just thought id send out another experience n hoping for some feedback

There is no wrong or right when approaching a set (as first) as long as you do so and talk, it's good. You can always tweak your approach techniques later and start to specifically work on going through the motions i.e. building comfort, attraction, kino and closing. take it one step at a time.
