Post subject:  phone call: what do you all think?
ok so i called this girl i number closed at the club 2 days after getting the #:

I called and she didnt answer(i did not give her my number)

She calls back like 3 minutes later:
ME: Hello?
HER:Uhh hello
ME: who is this!?!
HER:who is THIS!?
ME: yeah you called me first
HER:haha no i didnt you did...
ME: damn you're being difficult i was just messing with u
ME: this is **** from the club
HER:OHH HEY!
ME: we have unfinished business...
HER:oh really haha? like what?
ME: i think you know...
HER:well my lighter is working fine so it cant be that (i told her i was a disposible lighter repairman at the club)

ME: yeah well theres no roadkill to clean up over here either (she told me she cleaned up roadkill trying to match my joke)

ME: actually i cant talk long im about to go somewhere but I was thinking about you and want to get coffee with you tomorrow around 6:30

HER:MAYBE!(more of an excited tone of her voice so dunno what to make of it)

ME: what exactly is the definition of maybe anyways?

HER:I have to see what is going on tomorrow first

ME: ok well then ill give you a call tomorrow and see whats going on...gotta go now though...later

HER: bye


i feel like this could have been handled more smoothly please critique the AFC'ness of this conversation as i am aware that my phone game is pretty much on the horrible side hah

Excelent begining, but here is what I would of said diffrent.

ME: Hello?
HER:Uhh hello
ME: who is this!?!
HER:who is THIS!?
PUA: Clearly this is the MAN you desired to speak with since you called me.
HER:haha no i didnt you did...
PUA: Clearly you're mistaken, but don't worry I wont count you out just yet.
PUA: But to refresh you're memory I am PUA from the club
HER:OHH HEY!

ME: i think you know...

PUA: (Lite Chuckle) Wonderful, now I know your not the type of girl to just use me for my many tallents

PUA: Actually i cant talk long im about to go somewhere. I'm going to be stopping off for coffee @ 6:30 tomorrow. If your in the mood for something warm and some stimulating conversation call I'll reserve a quite little spot for us.

Ok so should i not call back tomorrow like i said? because that would look needy like i really have to go get coffee with her and it's not that important to me lol

I only said that maybe thing cause she caught me off guard and i did not know how to respond...

and yeah ur response sounds more like how i imagined it would go lol

uh basically i need some pointers on where to take this cause at this point i usually give up, say screw it and move on to the next

Wait two day. Then tell her your heading to (where ever...I'm going to use art show) and if she's in an artistic mood meet you @6:30 at the coffee house in the lobby.

This gives you a slight change in venue, but it doesn't come off as needy at all. This is mostly do to the fact neither of you have commited to a time and place and most importently she still wants you, she just wants you to chace her like every other AFC has. But you're not falling into her trap because you're making it sounds as if you're the prize and your still not to sure about her so, but you're will to include her in your plans, but not make specific plans just to be with her until she earns that attention.

First part. Awesome. Last part. Fucking horrible. First off, tell her you were doing X activity and then tell her to meet you. Have her meet you so she can feel comfortable.

Again bad. I've made this same fucking mistake myself (actually had a deja vu reading it) so don't beat yourself up over this. Just don't even react to the "maybe". Don't even give them a option to say "maybe".


ME: ok well then ill give you a call tomorrow and see whats going on...gotta go now though...later

Umm...hell no. She said she'll call you so roll with it.




Here is what is going to happen.

1) she isn't going to call you
2) she isn't going to meet you


This is what I would do. Especially if a girl gave me a MAYBE as an answer. A "maybe" is pretty much a guaranteed flake.


Tomorrow, this is what I want you to do.


About 2pm, send text

PUA: Hey poopy pants! Sorry have to cancel on coffee, but something came up at the last minute where my friend needs my help.

(this practice is what we call the "reverse flake". Even you didn't send this text and she outright flaked on you, you can still send this text the next day. What it does is releases the "guilty" emotions she has for flaking on you. She knows she flaked first, and you do to, but by doing the reverse flake, it lets her off the guilty feelings which is always a good thing.


In about 2 days after this text. Send another one.


PUA: Hey, just wanted to say goodbye and that it was nice meeting you. Tonight, aliens are abducting all the sexy people off the planet. Don't worry though, you should be safe. haha


Those two texts are money and will pull you out of any mistakes you made.

For future reference. I would try getting her to a social event that you and your friends were going to.

I had this girl tell me the other day that the first date should be at a social event (aka..party/club/concert) because they want to see how you interact socially with people. It was dead on with what MM teaches.

Souded ok, but probably wouldn't say "..and I was just thinking about you..". You should make it seem more spur of the moment, I.E. no references to ANY length of time; this is just something random you did to give yourself an interesting morning. If you soud like you didn't put much thought into planing a meeting (also might help if you stalled right before saying a time to meet) it will sound more like you've got other potential girls or plans lined up, and that you really dont NEED to get coffee with her, but what the hell, didn't you have chick you joked with last knight, and didn't you get a number?

That sounds legit...

The biggest mistake I saw was the fact that you said you would call her back tomorrow to find out if she wanted to go with you. That sounded pretty bad. Not sure what you could have said instead but I would have tried "I am going to (blank) Coffee shop tomorrow and if you feel like a warm cup of coffee meet me there at 6:30 pm"

The line is great because if she shows up you know the game is on and you have her around your finger. If she doesnt show up its no biggie.


You can tell how interested she is in you by how she responds to that text. If shes makes it sound like no big deal MOVE ON!!! If she says something like "aww, I was looking forward to it." try again.

yeah i realized that after i said it...not the best thing to say...makes me look too available and needy...

she never responded to that text which means it's no big deal to her therefore i just talk to the next girl now lol

Good job man!! Sometimes the best thing to do is move on. Other people would have kept talking to her and gotten nowhere....

I have learned through failure many times. But I always get back up...
