Try making your own openers. So long as you are confident and you own everything you say, the opener itself is almost irrelevant. The guys at Real Social Dynamics put an enormous emphasis on Inner Game, and argue for the almost total irrelevancy of openers. Tyler Durden was talking about how he consistently opens girls with things like:

TD: "Do you like carrots or avocados better?"
HB: "*says one or the other*"
TD: Oh, ok--I'm a strawberry man myself.

Total nonsense. You can say anything you want so long as you own it. Making up your own openers will make it more your own. Style's and Mystery's openers are for Style and Mystery, and unless they really connect with you, if you use them, they will come off as contrived.

Just remember, an opener just gets you in the door. That is all. If an opener can do that, then it has done it's job.

By the way, from experience, I would junk the MM book. I read it and found Magic Bullets a far better upgrade. It is based on the same system, but it is far more readable and informative.

[iam new at this game and i want to becouse a pua ever since i watched the pick up artist on tv that show bluw my mind . i gott really intresterd in the game and whith mysterys teaching's and i tryed the mystery method on the field. well i used some of the openiers myster used on the show and i used some openers from the booke the game by neil strauss. i got some number closed some girls and sometimes i got nigative reactions. my problem is that iam only 16 and girls my age dont really like those kind of openers that mystery and style uses and my other problem is that i can open a set but after 4or 5 mins i have nothing to talk about and thy lose intrest. -can anyone give me some good openers for girls my age -i want to know how to keep the convo going for as long as 9 or 10 mins -and if anyone can help with kino and otherstuff .PeAcE -jaja

Yea im going to have to agree with the fact that there is no best opener, some of them may get conversations started easier but thats only 10% of it, If you say something incredibly stupid but say it with confidence and carry yourself correctly then whoever you opened will soon be talking to you about something else and whatever your opener was is now completely irrelevant. Personally I make my own openers that can easily be transitioned to routines, one of my favorites is "Hey, me and a friend just saw this lady who claimed to be a psychic, and now my friends all paranoid because the lady told him he was going to live a short life with a lot of midlife crisis's. would you be paranoid too? or is he over reacting?" Now in my experience most girls love to talk about psychics and wether or not they are BS, it just intrigues them. So this allows me to offer a palm reading to them which helps build a connection between us and starts kino. Most of my openers allow me to transition into canned material and routines.

the way i see it, an opener should get u to the door, yes, but to the right one.. a line capable of creating a conversation is far better than some lame excuse to get from A to B and talk six words to them. of course, this stated from my point of view, a very unexperienced one and thus need to have an effective opener from the beginning as my skills at creating a conexion out of carrots and strawberrys arent than big anyway in my opinion, if an opener got than chick a smile on her face, you're totally in [comments and tip be welcome]
