after a few facebook exchanges im approaching my planned date to call this girl for the first time and set up a day two. i'm leaving the city tomorrow for the weekend and I plan on telling her ill be at starbucks on friday and telling her to meet me there at 6:30 I'd like to know your opinions and how you would go about the phone call...how to let her know who is calling (i purposely did not give her my number and made sure she knew i'd be calling her...but she doesnt know when) I'd appreciate any other tips as Ive never considered myself good at talking on the phone with chicks... |

The way you said it in your message is the best way to ask. "Im going to Starbucks xx, meet me there at say 18:30 and we can hang out". There are two key things here, be presumptive - why wouldnt she want to come hang out with you? The other is to not think about how much you want to meet her, it may even be worth taking a friend so as to show that it doesnt matter whether she comes or not and she will know that.. A FTC wouldnt hurt either |

I agree with the advice that's been said...and I have to say that I've been in the same situation multiple times recently. The most success I've had is when I called a girl right after I had a great and upbeat conversation with a friend - just get myself in the best possible mood...My game seems to increase when I already have a high energy level from talking to a buddy or female friend that I'm very comfortable with. In terms of setting up a date, you're on the right track...perhaps throw an extra incentive to meet you, like "bring something comfortable to wear for later...you might need it." or just simply make something up. Break the monotony and go for it! You got this! |
