alright guys ive been helping a lot lately on here but now i need help! lol so im a manager at this place and i just got done hiring a whole new staff. well i find myself really attracted to one of these girls that i have hired. it wasnt initial but it has built over the past few weeks. i havent really worked with her yet as she is in training right now and i dont handle that, but i try to make small talk here and there when i see her. the question is this. how do i get a pick up without crossing that manager/employee line. i dont want to jeopardize my job here, but i would like to start some sort of social bond with her and not come across as that creepy boss you always hear about. lol Thanks Patience |

If you're job is on the line I wouldn't go for it at all. I mean you could form a social bond so atleast you're friends, but trying to date her is a no no. Its like a teacher learning this and then using it on one of his/her students. I heard this quote somewhere on this forum, "don't get your honey where you get your money." I would think its just a bad situation if a manager and subordinate date. To many complications. |

I would say it's not the best idea. If you must. I would suggest opening her outside of work. Where both of you are equals. |

I agree. But if you feel good enough to go for it, i suggest to do something like cocky funny type of things. Be funny and make sure to make jokes, but also neg where you can. While doing this, maybe attempt to throw some IOIs at her to let her start to think "does he like me" but not know. the reason i suggest this is because you dont want to start hitting on her and then creep her out cause you see her everyday. your situation is different because in the regular field, if you f-up, its ok and you can leave and never see that person again, but if you f-up at work, then theres a problem. Good Luck!! |

Do not risk your job over some girl, it isn't worth it at all. As I have already advised someone else today, if you hire someone and then date them etc they will expect favours, and others around you will accuse you of giving them. You can also face a sexual harrassment suit if things go really wrong and you wouldn't want that. - SC |
