Post subject:  In what tone/manner are you supposed to Neg?

I posted a story awhile back about how I negged a girl but she totally took it the wrong way and it was because I wasn't smiling at all but instead, I was being a hard ass.

I just came across a post where someone defined the difference between negs and teasing:

Negs and teasing are different! A neg is delivered completely dead-pan and
seriously. It is meant to show absolutely no interest whatsoever.

A tease is a play-fight flirt (say that five times fast) of varying degree
depending on the situation. It is NOT meant to show non-interest.

SO WHAT'S THE REAL ANSWER!?!

It really depend on your preference
for me i see both of them similar to each other, therefor I'm alway giving out a flirting yet light-hearted teasing vibe

go with what you feel right rather then following what peoples tell you 8)

well when you open a set you have to open it with a level of energy that is slightly higher than the set. not too low or high, that's your call though.

neg's are used to make it seem like the target girl isn't that interesting to you. like if she tries to give a bit of advice on something you mention, look to her other friends and say something like, 'i suppose she knows it all right? ha ha.' or 'she seems really talkative.' while using negs you gotta maintain that energy and say it with a hint of sarcasm.

teasing seems like the right thing to do when you know she's interested. you tease her because it looks like now she's interested. now you're showing your interest in her.remember, everything has to be justified in a woman's mind and it is always your fault, not hers.

Umm...BOTH negs and teasing can be deadpan, OR jokingly said. It is context that defines this, not the act itself.

Deadpan:

Neg: Nice hair, is it real?

Tease: HB: I've got a great ass!
PUA: *checks her ass out* Yeah not bad.

Jokingly:

Neg: Oooh, big word! Where'd you learn that, grade 5? lol (say this without laughing and smiling the right way and you're gonna get hit and NOT in the good playful way)

Tease: *over the phone* Your friend's there now? Great! Let's continue that conversation about what you're wearing underneath that white robe and halo!
