Post subject:  Are there EXCEPTIONS to the rules?

ok guys so basically i just graduated high school a week ago... lol and me and this girl who i went to school with for 4 years have recently been talking. Now we kinda formally met during sophmore year on a retreat, and kinda had this liking for each other throughout high school, though we never dated and rarely spoke. It was just one of those things that we both knew by the looks and smiles we gave each other.

Ok so now school is over. We have been talking on AIM almost every night for 1-3 hrs...(late at night, not during the day cuse i have better things to be doing :P) Anyways we obviously have this very strong emotional connection and have extremely similar traits. She always used to leave poetry as her away messages, and i commented on it one time sayin that i liked it bla bla bla (and that she's a bit of a nerd :P) cuse everyone elses is just so boring. After this her away messages seem to be messages to me... For example today she said she was out at the barn (she loves horses) on a date with "tall dark and handsome" (her horse) and left her number on there saying Please Text me! (she knows i read away messages now)

So here is the golden question: IF the girl is really into you u and vis versa, should you follow up on requests, like her really wanting you to text her? I can see this as being needy if i do so, but also a let down to her if i dont. Should i keep up the tension of not talking to her for a certain period of time, to make her compete for my time or no? If i comply with her requests (that are ernest) do i come off as just submissive dude? I know in most cases it does, but when two people have a very strong mutual connection, does it still fly? Let me know guys! =)

Don't be so worried about it; as long as you are doing things because you want to and not because you are trying to keep a woman happy you're generally fine. There is nothing wrong with being in contact with a girl; it is when it becomes obsessive and one of you starts doing unrequited things and showing neediness that it becomes a problem.

Be your real self because things are going to be a lot harder if you spend your relationship trying to calculate moves constantly to keep up an image which is not the real you.

I've never had problems with worrying about this shit as long as I am doing it independent of the situation; not because I need her to emotionally satisfy me or because I want to keep her happy. I do things because I want to do them.

Every rule can be bent, if not broken.

As far as complying with her requests, yeah, you should! You just need to make sure that she complies with yours as well, because if she doesn't, then you are getting the short end of the stick and you need to stop complying with her requests in order to make her realise that it's gotta be mutual.

haha cool thanks guys, i love the immediate and great feedback. Yeah i figured that i should keep doin what ive been doin if i have come this far with her. Anyways im gonna see her at a party tom, where i can talk in person with her as apposed to AIM. There ill escalate the kino, do some paterning and mirroring. Gonna try to close or K-close, pends on how much im feelin it :D. As you guys recommend im just gonna go with the flow and adapt to current situations instead of tryin to guess and predict every move. Thats impossible and we all know that. ok guys thx again... any other comments/ suggestions or things i should do tomorrow?
