Post subject:  I'm Wasting My Time - Point Me In The Right Direction

I'm reading all this stuff on material and what to say, and all this stuff, but I don't need it!

My problem, is that I get shy around people I don't know.
That's it. I tend to go in a shell at parties.
That's all.

I don't need a step by step guide on how to talk to a girl. I'm not looking to get laid anytime soon. I don't go to clubs or bars because I can't, so half of this stuff already isn't relevant at all.

So far, I've (possibly illegally) gotten The October Man book, IN10SE's Game, like 5 other IN10SE books, The October Man Audio CD's, and DiCarlo's The Attraction Code.

I can't read them, because I quickly lose interest. Again, I don't want to get laid.

SO - My question in simple:

What material (ie. books, audiobooks, DVDs, etc.) will help me become less shy and more of an AMOG, and help me put myself above the rest in the eyes of girls and anyone I meet?

Thank you.

[Also a non-related question: What does the Sphinx of Imagination do, and is it helpful in this issue?

Okay first off dude,

THE ATTITUDE!

Wow, you have one of the most negative sounding attitudes I've seen on these forums. Stop being so hard on yourself and stop looking for a quick fix, it ain't gonna happen. Game, and indeed confidence all stem from within, but it takes time and practice.
Look at anyone you know with loads of confidence, their models of self-respect, they know what they want and they get what they want. The way they move through the world is confident and everything they do is, just...cool.

My advice to you is to set yourself some goals, like some overarching goals that you want to work towards. Say for example, " I want to be confident in myself and my abilities" now that's a pretty broad goal. Make as many as you want (as you can cut them down later) and don't worry about how ridiculous they might sound or how impossible they sound.

Next, you should think about how you can go about achieving your overarching goals, you're going to find all of the steps you need to take to get to get your goals. So for example for "I want to be confident in myself and my abilities", your sub-goals would be something like this:

1. Work on maintaining strong eye contact with everyone around me
2. Learn not to take things so seriously
3. SMILE
4. Work on your body language, stand up straight when you walk
5. Join a gym, it's proven to zap depression and the more you work on your body, the more confident you'll feel and look.
6. Keep a journal of your adventures and misadventures, read it often to remind yourself of your journey and the things you've achieved
7. A great form of motivation is to follow an example that stems from Mystery's teachings: Give a close friend/s $100 in 20s and tell them not to give it back until you've spoken with 5 new people in a day (so for each new person you say hi to, they give you back on $20 note) at the end of the day, you get your cash back and you gained experience.

-warning though, you actually have to assume that your friend/s won't give the cash back UNLESS you talk to people.

Or something to that effect. I also recommend you read affirmations out loud every morning and night, read them with conviction, even if you feel stupid, it really works. For example:

1. I read aloud and modify my affirmations every day
2. I succeed in anything I put my mind to
3. I am a strong and confident ALPHA MALE
4. I do not care what others think of me
If a woman rejects me, she is just demonstrating her own bad judgment

Make it a habit of just talking to people, even just to say hi or give a compliment (it is harder than it sounds, but you must really want to change), just say hi and then move on. You can build from there.

Also take a look at the Body Language section in these forums and read up on techniques to build self-worth etc.

A book I personally recommend you take a look through is Unlimited Power by Tony Robbins. Great read

Best of Luck! Keep us posted on your progress!

Buddy.
You can read every single book availiable on how to become an amog, or get over AA, or anything.

But you will never get there unless you put it into practice.
You can't just read the attributes of an amog, and then wing it and try to assimilate them.

You need to get in the field, and get over your AA, then you wont be shy at parties.
When your over AA, then start taking steps to become an amog.

Its not like superman, you cant just step in a phone booth and come out as a new person, you have to work for it. Theory is only half the pie.
