Post subject:  New girl asked me on an outing...did I play this right?

Went to a LAME salsa club three weeks ago. There was almost no one there, and my dance partner was out of town, so I was alone, and I spotted a cuteish girl (7) across the room, also alone and seemingly uncomfortable. Normally I wouldn't have bothered since the crappy ambience had put me in a bad mood, but I went over and opened and asked her to dance. She was giggly and shy and hesitant because she hadn't danced in two years and this was her first time out in about that long, but I quickly put her at ease and some light kino got her on the floor. We had a good time, and spent an hour or so doing some very warm, successful comfort building on a couch after that. She's very warm and genuine, and I found it very attractive. In spite of the fact that she's five years older than me and has a baby daughter, she seemed very innocent and sweet, so I didn't push too hard with kino and used a few gentle negs sparingly (mostly about the age difference). At the end of the night she talked about dancing again sometime soon but when I tried to # close she just gave me hers and said she'd be in touch.

I kinda wrote it off and didn't expect to hear back, but she texted me the following weekend, asked where I was dancing, and said she'd see me there, then didn't show (which was fine 'cause I worked on a lot of other girls in that time), then surprised me by texting the next day with an excuse and very sincere apology and asking if I had fun. She said we'd try again another time. I haven't been pushing it because she has a very busy commute-heavy schedule and rarely gets out (so she's probably not talking to any other guys), seems kinda delicate, and I believe she likes me, so I can afford to hang back.

I texted her today (along with several friends) to wish a happy Mother's Day, and she wrote back immediately saying "You're very sweet," telling me about her day, and asking if I had fun dancing last night. We exchanged a little, and she jokingly negged herself re: the age thing, which allowed me to join in and do it with her instead of at her. She responded with an LOL and invited me to a multicultural festival (which is actually one of my favorite events of the year) next Sunday with her, her baby, her girlfriend, and the friend's baby. I've been reading more about FTCs so I replied, "LOL sounds more like an internationally-themed playdate, but I'd love to meet the little one. I'll look at my week and get back to you soon." She replied "Hahaha no pressure," which (to me) said I'd gotten her to feel awkward by thinking it wasn't the kind of first hangout that interested me, and that maybe now she was worried I'd run off. I wrote back, "I'll let you know tomorrow," fully planning on not replying for two days.

Did I play this right? And should I agree to go (since I'll probably wind up there anyway), or is "two girlfriends and their babies" a bad corner to put myself in? I can't decide, and I feel like it's a test to see if I can back up my talk by being okay with a girl who has a kid (which I am--kids love me), and I suspect she wants the friend for a second opinion. Thoughts?

ye seems fine to me, i looks like shes a lil scared. Girls will usually say something like no pressure or its alright cuz they dont want to seem to pushy or their rather shy. So just do what you do homie, cuz shes the one thats been inviting you.

Also its good that you didnt first accept cuz it shows that your not desperate and thats another reason she said "no pressure" cuz she doesnt want to come off too desperate. Anyway she is feeling you

Okay, cool, so I'm on the right track like I thought. I've been reading more stuff and learning how to play situations like these a little better. Thanks!
