Post subject:  How to walk and stand?

Hey guys. This sounds completely stupid and it probably is, but how do I walk and stand in such a way that exudes confidence? Like, I notice natural AMOG's have a way of moving that is just so... AMOG. How do they move like that. Is there a book on this? Like, what do I do with my hands while I stand? Do I lean on one leg or do I stand balanced on both? Do I lean back? How about when I walk. Do I bounce up and down and swing my hands? Do I lead with my head or my body? Just, like... just everything. If I was an alien and I wanted to learn how to stand and walk from an AMOG, what would I need to know? Thanks in advance guys =). (With the way I walk and stand right now, might as well be an alien =P)

When you walk:

Lift your chest up and put your shoulders back. Lift your head aswell, but don't overdo or else you will be perceived as arrogant. When you walk, move your hips forward, pretend that someone had put a rope around your waist and who's leading you. Do a step with your right foot, and while you do that move your left arm forward. (however, it's better to let nature do that, if i put my right foot forward my left arm moves directly forward aswell. If you put right and right you look like a robot.). Move your butt when you walk, so when you put your right leg forward try to follow that movement with your butt. So walk from your ass, not your legs.

Don't bounce to much when you walk, your not a kangeroo. I find a slight movement the best thing to do.

When just standing around, try to lean back against something if possible. If not, have your legs spread out slightly wider than shoulder width so that you have a solid base and are less prone to fidget around. Take up as much space as you want.

I just want to add:

Smile, keep hands below weist line when walking and standing even if you have something in your hand (drink, beer, etc). Walk calm, slowly, and no sudden movements this also goes when standing and talking. Don't look down. Don't be stiff relax. Be confident you own the place.

When talking: Try to focus on your group. Don't be looking around the place like a predator do this without actually doing it, laugh hard, take lots of pictures, behave in a way that when people see you they want to joing your group. Have a good time. Dance, make your group laugh, etc... Call attention to your group. Do the same thing other groups that are having a good time and call your attention do.

Hope that helps...

Would it be a good idea to just watch male models walk and copy that? I mean, they are the kings of walk.

I think it's better to copy any James Bond or George Clooney or something.

First of all FORGET about all the Hollywood movies stuff.
DavidDA asks: how would you walk if you would be a man who is able to make women happy ?
Gun uses the example of the unicorn... you can imagine it by yourself.
In any case I'd found truly helpful the flash videos "posture1" and "posture2" of the Stilechallenge, you can easily search them byu yourself through the web.

Watch George Clooney and Brad Pitt in Ocean's Elven (and the sequels) if you want a visual guide.
