OK so heres my problem. Im a 20yr old Australian bloke from the heart of Sydney, ive got next to no problem with opening up to women but its once ive established who i am and what i do that i begin to lose it.
For example:
Halfway through February this year my friend puts on a large cruise every year around Sydney harbour for all the students at my University, the majority are all singles looking for that certain someone wether it be long term or just for a one nighter. I arrived there promptly with my trio of mates after having prepared for this cruise at least a month in advance after reading Styles' "The Game" and learning of Peacock Theory from Mystery. I had gone out and bought an awsome new grey pinstripped leisure suit with appropriate foot attire, equipped with mens rings, dog tags, magnetic "diamond" ear ring, leather wrist band and the fake $20 newest Hong Kong made Rolex so....Peacock Theory had been taken care of. The cruise started off great, i used a few openers that i read about from the book on some sweet Uni girls who by my standards were probably best described as 8's, yet my blocked mineprevented me from staying any longer than to barely get out my name smile politely and then when they looked away linger off onto the dance floor and make my escape to the roof deck. About an hour passed when i found my comfort zone with my friends and told them what i'd been doing, when out of no where i was introuced to a cute petite redheaded girl who was about a 7 on the rate scale she had potential to be better but then thats just my opinion. My friend introduced the two of us, the redhead went by the name Jenniffer. "Cute name for the cute girl", i thought to myself. My buddy had been trying to help me pick up as a favor that he owed me once, as he has no problem with the ladies and saw me as someone who just needed a helping hand so in an attempt to make me more interesting had already told the Redhead of my profession as being "Creative Fluid Technician" which apparently made her more interested in me.
I asked her down stairs for a while towards the dancefloor we talked for a while but the temptation of free alcohol along with my nerves was too much. Eventually i found her again in the crowd of dancers but unforunately my drunk behaviour kicked in and when she caught onto my behaviour she reacted as such:
RH: Hey Bedaz, so whats my name again?
Bedaz: What? What are you talking about?
RH: Tell me, whats my name?
Bedaz: ..........murmur........Jf.......guygsdmn........
RH: What?
Bedaz: Nah your names Jessica.
*slap*
RH: Its Jeniffer you Prick!
With that i was left....on a boat....in front of a crowd of people....with a bloody awkward look on my face.
Eventually the cruise ended and the mass of people moved to the first club on the list. An hour into it i found the readhead again, we talked for a bit i had sobered up a little and just slowly sipped on my one Heineken. She eventually forgave me and asked her to dance some more.
Now for the crucial part of the story.
As we danced i tried all the moves looking for signs of interest that i had the all clear to hook up but when i went to make eye contact she would be looking the other way after around 5 or so minutes i both felt we were pretty bored so she suggested we talk more. F#UCK now im stuffed. All i had to talk about was the rest of my crappy job she feigned an obvious sarcastic interest in what i had to say. I said i was going to go sit with my friends and she said she just had to get another drink. about 10 minutes later im back talking to my friends when no more than 8 metres away she was locking lips with a better looking guy than me WHAT A SHIT NIGHT.
So heres my question:
What things can i use after i intiate an opener what topics or things can be used to talk to with women so they stay longer. Or more exactly What do YOU the reader say so you dont have the longer awkward silence between the two. What do you talk about? Like i need to know do things like politics, movies, books, things like that work as interesting things that keep a female from leaving or what should i say?
