If I made a mistake it wasn't a big one but I'm just curious what other people think. There's a girl, at least a 9 and in my opinion a 10 or higher, who I am reasonably confident has interest in me for various reasons. I have been taking it very slow, too slow, becuase I am not good at the game yet. We're in the same building at the same time and she walks by once, we've already said hello, so I do not look up to look at her from my desk becuase I do not want to be needy or telegraph too much interest. But then she walks by very almost immediately again a second time I think maybe wanting my attention. This time I think I should have looked and given her a smile or something. I did not I continued to act too engrossed to notice. Then later when she left I saw she had a negative/hostile look on her face. I don't flatter myself, its not like I gave her that look, but it felt like I might have contributed to it. I think I made a mistake. Does anyone else think so? Not a big deal. I'm just wondering what I should have done. She's a nice girl, I like her as a person and wouldn't want to be mean for one thing.

Yeah, I like that a bit better. I could actually say that and not feel like a douche. No offense blinkant, I really appreciate your advice, and I like it generally what you said. But this is something that I've found a lot where people recommend saying lines that I could never say naturally. I would always sound corny/robotic with a lot of the things people recommend as line and jokes. Maybe its partly a thing of typing instead of saying out loud and when you put it into spoken words it would be different how you put it but its just something that makes me distrust a lot of the advice from other people when they recommend the corny lines. With a lot of the cocky humor stuff, actually, I get that reaction. Even from reading David Deangelo I get the same feeling a lot. I just go "damn...thats corny man" sometimes, I can't help it. I would feel like a douche using it.
