Hello everybody, I write to ask for an advice. I know a girl from quite a long time(almost a year), we have been friends for a lot and she has a boyfriend(she has been with him for almost a year). In the last months we started having feelings for each other and seeing each other more frequently. When the thing started to be obvious we discussed about it and she told me that she had "some sort of interest in me" but she was in love with her boyfriend and wanted to stay with him. Then the thing went on and she started saying she was confused and constantly thinking about me, but scared because she knew that if something happened between us she wouldn't know what to do. Then last night she came back from holiday and she invited me to her place, cooked me dinner and we went out to drink something. We held hands for most of the time and when I tried to kiss her she refused and said "please don't do it", still holding my hand and hugging me, and told me she would have really liked it in another situation but it was not a good idea and it was not fair to her boyfriend. I tried again some other times but the reaction was still the same. We discussed the situation and she told me she spent her holidays thinking about me and never about her boyfriend, that I make her feel loved and special and that she was lying when she told me she only had some sort of interest in me, and obviously the thing was more serious, so she decided to see me before her boyfriend when she came back from holidays. But the fact is that this is not something you can decide rationally and she feels she belongs to him, she left a 4 years relationship to be with her actual boyfriend and she just would like it to work, but it doesn't, and that it is not time for us to be together. We ended up the talk with a very long hug with kisses on the neck and caresses. I really like her and knowing that the thing is reciprocal I really want to change this situation. What could I do? Go find other women. I am amazed guys will want to date a cheating women. She broke up with one guy for the current guy. She is cheating on him with you. Why would you want someone so dishonest? |

Agree with her misgivings, escalate and amplify. Stop bringing up the boyfriend. Quote: "please don't do it", still holding my hand and hugging me,

Tried something very similar...it did not work. She said smiling "You know I am not going to do it"
