| Post subject: | DHV Stories?? |
Ok so I've been studying up. I'm planning to go out for my first few sarges. I've been practicing the jealous GF opener (Perhaps Jealous GF is too played out? would it be a good newby opener?) and I'm fairly confident I'll be able to execute it in field. My point of confusion is DHV stories! My questions. 1-Do they have to mention something related before I can whip out a DHV story? 2-How many DHV stories should I have memorized? 3-So I guess I should write out my DHV stories, adding leader of men, control of emotions, social proof and such and then practice saying them out loud? not 100% sure how 4-Will just DHV stories and Cocky+funny get me through A2 with most HB8-10s or is there something else I should plan on doing as well? While I'm here I'll show you guys my Gameplan as well for you to check out, tell me what I'm messing up with. It's kind of rough, I plan on calibrating it with experience. Boom, I see a _ set, 3 second rule... JGF opener assuming it hooks, neg/ignore target and continue with DHV story or 2 maybe throw in some snapple cap type interesting fact things Isolate target, after I win over the friends, qualify then run the cube Create timebridge, close K and or #. Either throw in a DHV story before leaving or just say goodbye and be out! I know it may not go exactly like that, but I think that game plan will help me learn allot with my first few sarges, even just ballsin and getting the opener out should do that. Gimmie your feedback! |

Dude I personally hate memorizing stories and stuff, I like to just tell my own stories and just stretch the truth a bit. |

word. I plan on telling my own stories I just want them pre-made so I can tell them with good acting and such, I'm pretty good with regular convo, just want a few DHV stories so I have a default after opener. I see canned material as training wheels, I've been out of commission for a long time, I need to get the rust off |

If you have it pre-planned and all acted out, then it doesn't come off as being sincere. I tell a lot of the same stories, because they are great stories from my life and the topics come up time and time again, so I know what I'm telling because of that. I convey the emotion of the story to them by emoting, but I don't have it pre-planned and acted out, so it is much more powerful than someone that has done those things. |

I disagree... it's fine to practice your stories, there's nothing wrong with it. In fact, it will help you to practice them because the main key is that while telling these stories that you are congruent with what you're saying. Oh, and personally, i don't think you really need to throw in a last story after getting a number. It always works better for me to just dissapear after that. |
