Post subject:  Routines - Where do I begin?
Hey, allow me to get straight to the point :)

I'm having troubles keeping a conversation going lately and often find myself sitting in that "quiet zone". I figured I should learn a few routines so the next time I'm in this zone, I can bust a canned routine out.

What exactly is the very first stepping stone? How do I introduce the "routine" in the field to make it seem natural and not like canned material that I randomly pulled out of my ass? I want the routine to feel fluent and natural with the conversation.

So, any advice? Routines? Where to start? Keeping the conversation going tips etc?

depends... if its lets say the 5 questions game just casually say hey lets play a game, then go into it. Make sure you build a little comfort tho first, don't open with that lol

Hey man,
I'm still a complete beginner to the game but I was a semi-natural beforehand..most able to keep conversations running. Therefore look at my advice critically and maybe I could get some feedback from anyone who likes/dislikes the ideas.
It is my belief (and seemingly most you guys agree) that the way in which to actually have a successful interaction is to bring them out of themselves..wake them up in a way. I like to do this through asking them something about themselves which people don't usually ask them on first meeting them ("If you were an animal what would you be" and them neg them on their answer") you can use even more 'suprising' questions but i think just a little bit of creativity is enough to impress and not weird-out. Some people prefer to make it sexual but in my opinion that just brings the bitch-shield right up. Then you could use cold-reading techniques like the cube (Ilove this one). the-cube-vt1509.html?highlight=cube. Don't forget to Kino escalate. aalways escalate. I can't do it myself but i'm gonna keep trying.
Once again I'm a beginner so take this advice critically and let me know what you think.
